14th September 2009 - At the Frankfurt Motor Show, Peugeot will unveil a concept version of its exciting RCZ 2+2 coupé, the RCZ HYbrid4. Based on the same power train as the 3008 Hybrid4, it is powered by a 2.0 litre HDi FAP diesel engine with a maximum power of 163 bhp and a 37 bhp electric motor giving a total power output of 200 bhp.

Born from the workshops of Peugeot Sport, the cat-like one continues sound development and, within this framework, will take part in a test size nature with the rally of Antibes with Gilles Panizzi at his wheel.

30 July 2007 - The 308 RC Z Concept Car is a 2+2 Coupé with true versatility and at the same time a style that is modern, original and well-balanced. A lot of attention has been paid to the design to ensure it is as light as possible with the use of aluminium and carbon fibre for many of the components.

After the announcement that prototype cars at LeMans would be restricted to coupes by 2010, Peugeot was the first to reveal a contender that conformed to the new rules. Like many French manufacturers, Peugeot have had strong ties to LeMans and named their car 908 to link it with the 905 which won the race in 1992 and 1993.

September 28th, 2006- In June 2005, Peugeot announced its decision to accept a new technological challenge: to win one of the world's most prestigious and demanding motor races, the Le Mans 24 Hours, with a car powered by an HDi diesel engine equipped with a diesel particulate filter system (DPFS).

The Spider 207, which received its world premiere in Paris, is developed from the 20Cup concept car but features a more conventional 4-wheel architecture and a rear transverse engine. This car, intended to be driven in a single class category, will provide intense and genuine driving pleasure, combined with the use of a production engine offering a high level of torque and reliability.

The 908 RC owes its name to its engine: the Peugeot V12 HDi DPFS, which will power the racing version of the 908 in 2007. The abbreviation RC, used to designate sports models in the Peugeot range, also refers to the RC concept cars which made their appearance in 2002 and whose architecture served as an inspiration during the design of this innovative project.
