The Aston Martin Valhalla Confirmed for Next James Bond Movie

A Worthy Bond Car

The Aston Martin Valhalla hasn’t even had its name that long, but the company is already getting it some serious roles. The vehicle will be in the upcoming Bond movie, which is currently called “Bond 25” around the movie press watercooler. What role the car will play in the move is unknown at this time. If we were to venture a guess, we’d say you can expect Daniel Craig to be driving it while playing the most famous spy in the world.

As Motor Authority points out, the Valhalla hybrid hypercar will not be the only Aston on set. The classic DB5 that is the quintessential Bond car will appear in the movie as well. So will the wonderful but considerably less well-known V8 Vantage that appeared in The Living Daylights. Both of those older cars were spotted at a film shoot in Norway.

The Valhalla offers 1,000 hp from a hybrid powertrain mad up of a turbocharged V6 and an electric motor. The car has all-wheel drive and utilizes an 8-speed dual clutch transmission to send power to all of the wheels. It can do a 0-62 mph run in just 2.5 seconds and sprint all the way to 220 mph as its top speed. It’s a fitting car for Bond, and we’re looking forward to seeing it on the silver screen.
