A Jaguar C-Type once raced by Juan Manuel Fangio claimed victory in the 1949-1954 at this yearโs Le Mans Legend driven by John Young, posting the carโs 22nd vintage race win from 25 starts. Entered by JD Classics, the Jag was chased home by its stablemate Cooper T33 in the hands of company MD Derek Hood.
โThis yearโs Le Mans Legend field was undoubtedly the toughest itโs ever been,โ said Hood afterward, โso our C-Type and Cooper T33 completing a class one-two finish is something weโre extremely proud of. It also cements our ex-Fangio C-Type as the most successful of its kind in historic racing today โ and thatโs down to the world-class engineers weโve got in our Competition Department.โ
