Ferrari Amalfi: the new benchmark for contemporary Grand Touring

Ferrari has unveiled the Amalfi, a front-mid-engine V8 2+ coupé that replaces the Roma in the Maranello lineup. The Amalfi blends high performance with everyday usability, redefining the modern gran turismo with a focus on design purity, versatility, and technological sophistication.

Design & Aesthetics

The Amalfi’s design language emphasizes minimalism and sculptural precision. Its front features a bold intake and a long, contoured bonnet housing a 640 cv turbocharged V8. A rear active spoiler, carbon fiber details, and forged wheels enhance both form and function. The launch color, Verde Costiera, reflects coastal vibrancy, emphasizing the vehicle’s elegance and dynamism.

Inside, a dual-cockpit layout envelops occupants in a refined, driver-focused environment. A reimagined steering wheel brings back physical buttons and the iconic start button, while an integrated 10.25” central display ensures intuitive control. High-end materials, contrasting stitching, and a practical 2+ seating configuration make it as luxurious as it is usable.

Powertrain & Performance

At its core lies a refined version of Ferrari’s award-winning 3.9L twin-turbo V8 from the F154 family. Delivering 640 cv at 7,500 rpm, it boasts a redline of 7,600 rpm and features advanced turbo calibration, faster spool-up (up to 171,000 rpm), and lighter components such as redesigned camshafts and engine block.

Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, performance figures are impressive:

  • 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds

  • 0–200 km/h in 9.0 seconds

  • Power-to-weight ratio: 2.29 kg/cv

The exhaust system has been engineered for signature Ferrari acoustics, utilizing a ceramic matrix catalyst and a new bypass valve for adaptive sound profiles.

Driving Dynamics & Technology

The Amalfi introduces an advanced brake-by-wire system and ABS Evo, offering greater stability and control under varying grip conditions. The SSC 6.1 (Side Slip Control) architecture unifies vehicle dynamics, enhancing torque vectoring, steering response, and body control. A new rear active spoiler shifts through three modes—Low Drag, Medium Downforce, and High Downforce—based on driving conditions, delivering up to 110 kg of extra downforce at 250 km/h.

Electric Power Steering (EPS) integrates real-time grip estimation, improving handling on varied surfaces. These systems are augmented by a suite of ADAS features, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and optional Surround View.

Aerodynamics

Developed through extensive CFD and wind tunnel testing, the Amalfi’s aerodynamics are both refined and purposeful. Front vortex generators, optimized underbody panels, and a re-engineered rear diffuser minimize drag while maximizing stability.

A concealed bypass duct aids cooling and pressure management, while the active rear wing optimizes aero loads dynamically. At the front, side intakes feed the intercoolers, and the splitter improves airflow and brake ventilation.

Infotainment & HMI

Ferrari’s redesigned Human-Machine Interface includes:

  • 15.6” digital instrument cluster

  • 10.25” central touchscreen

  • 8.8” passenger display

Controls are distributed ergonomically across a physical-button steering wheel, improving tactile feedback. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto®, and MyFerrari Connect, with wireless charging and a premium Burmester® 14-speaker audio system available.

Interior Comfort

A monolithic dashboard integrates displays and air vents into a single visual element. The central tunnel, milled from anodized aluminum, houses a gated shifter, wireless pad, and secondary controls. Optional comfort seats offer massage functionality with 10 air chambers and active ventilation.

Tyres

Equipped with 20” wheels, the Amalfi uses 245/35 R20 (front) and 285/35 R20 (rear) tyres, co-developed with Bridgestone Potenza Sport and Pirelli P ZERO. This configuration balances grip, agility, and ride comfort.

Maintenance Program

The Amalfi benefits from Ferrari’s 7-Year Genuine Maintenance Program, covering all scheduled servicing globally. Clients are assured that their car is maintained to factory standards by certified technicians using original parts.
