2021 Koenigsegg Regera Auctioning for up to $3 Million

One of just 80 examples built between 2016 and 2022

Unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Koenigsegg Regera is a rare hybrid hypercar with just 80 examples built worldwide between 2016 and 2022. The Regera was entirely developed in-house in Sweden and was designed as a hybrid grand tourer that delivers a remarkable combination of explosive speed and refined comfort.

Powering the Regera is a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 paired with three electric motors, producing a combined 1,500 horsepower and 2,000 Nm of torque. It features Koenigsegg’s patented Direct Drive system, which replaces a traditional gearbox with a single-speed transmission for seamless acceleration and reduced drivetrain losses.

Performance is staggering: 0–100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, 0–300 km/h in under 10 seconds, and 0–400 km/h in just over 20 seconds. Despite its brute force, the Regera offers an electric-only mode for urban driving. Its carbon fiber monocoque structure supports advanced active aerodynamics, including a deployable rear wing and adaptive suspension.

The lightweight body features Koenigsegg’s signature Autoskin system, which allows for remote operation of all openings. Inside, the cabin is finished in bespoke leather with memory foam seating, ambient lighting, and modern tech including Apple CarPlay, Wi-Fi, and a surround-view camera system.

This 2021 Regera, headed to Bonhams Cars’ Quail Auction on August 15, is finished in optional clear carbon over red accents and carries over $800,000 in factory upgrades. Notable options include a $400,000 exposed carbon package, a $250,000 environmental power upgrade, and $57,000 Tresex carbon fiber wheels.

Originally delivered through Koenigsegg Charlotte, this Regera has been driven just 70 miles since new. The pink exterior accents are made of vinyl and are easily removable. It is expected to fetch up to $3 million at auction.
