Unveiled in July 2024, the C8 ZR1 became the first production Corvette equipped with twin turbochargers. Its mid-mounted 5.5-liter LT7 V8 features a flat-plane crankshaft, CNC-machined intake ports and combustion chambers, and an auxiliary port fuel-injection system. With up to 20 psi of boost from its twin turbos, the engine produces a factory-rated 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque.
Watch as Hennessey Performance Engineering President Alex Roys takes a stock 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Coupe equipped with the ZTK Performance Package to the limit at Circuit of the Americas. Even in less-than-ideal weather and track conditions, the car lays down an impressive 2:13 lap time.
Completely unmodified, the run highlights the ZR1’s out-of-the-box performance. The footage shows Roys extracting everything the car has to offer on one of the world’s most challenging road courses, demonstrating its balance, aerodynamic efficiency, braking capability, and relentless speed. It’s a clear, no-excuses look at what the 2026 ZR1 can accomplish straight from the factory.
