FOR SALE: 2006 Bugatti Veyron 16.4

The second Veyron built for the U.S. market

Bugatti’s first golden age began in the early 1920s with the Brescia sports cars and peaked with icons like the Type 35 Grand Prix racers, the Royale, Atlantic, and Type 55. This era came to an abrupt end in 1939 after founder Ettore Bugatti died in a road accident, leading to the company’s decline.

The brand briefly returned with the EB110 in 1991, but it wasn’t until 2005 that Bugatti Veyron fully revived Bugatti’s reputation. Developed under Volkswagen ownership, the Veyron redefined performance with a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 producing over 1,000 horsepower, all-wheel drive, and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It could reach 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and achieve a record-setting 253 mph in Top Speed mode, which lowered the car and adjusted the rear wing for stability.

Despite its extreme performance, the Veyron also functioned as a refined grand tourer. Designed under Ferdinand Piëch and named after Le Mans winner Pierre Veyron, it combined advanced engineering with distinctive styling inspired by Bugatti’s heritage. Unconventional yet groundbreaking, the Veyron reestablished Bugatti as the benchmark for ultimate supercars.

Chassis 013 of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 was the second car built for the U.S. market. Its sculpted body is finished in a striking two-tone Silver and Dark Blue Metallic, while the cabin is trimmed in rich Grenadine leather, accented by brushed alloy bezels, switchgear, and detailing throughout.

The engine-turned center console houses controls for the Airsystem climate functions, power seats and windows, and a Burmester premium audio system—features that elevate the Veyron’s already extraordinary performance into a truly immersive luxury experience befitting the Bugatti name.

Originally delivered to Florida, this Veyron has been with its current owner since December 2023 and has covered fewer than 120 miles during that time. At cataloguing, the odometer displayed just 3,139 miles. The car is scheduled to cross the block at RM Sotheby’s Miami auction on February 27, where it is expected to achieve as fetch as $2.2 million.
