Introduced as the open-top evolution of Ferrari’s acclaimed 458 Speciale, the 458 Speciale Aperta represented the pinnacle of the marque’s naturally aspirated V-8 road cars. Building on the success of the 458 Italia—developed with significant input from seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher—the Speciale elevated performance through extensive engine, chassis, and aerodynamic enhancements. Ferrari later translated those upgrades into a retractable-hardtop Spider, creating the Speciale Aperta, which combined uncompromising track capability with open-air driving. Production was strictly limited to 499 examples worldwide, making it one of the most sought-after modern Ferraris.
Power comes from a heavily revised 4.5-liter naturally aspirated DOHC V-8 producing 605 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. The high-revving engine features a 14:1 compression ratio, redesigned intake system, higher-lift camshafts, reduced internal friction, and a carbon-fiber intake assembly.
A recalibrated seven-speed Getrag dual-clutch transmission delivers even faster gear changes, while an electronic differential, upgraded F1-Trac traction control, and Ferrari’s retuned Side Slip Angle Control maximize performance. Suspension revisions, magnetorheological dampers, carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires further sharpen the Aperta’s handling.

Finished in elegant Bianco Avus accented by Blu Nart racing stripes, it features a Blu Sterling leather and cloth interior highlighted by carbon-fiber racing seats with white center stripes, blue seatbelts, and embroidered Cavallino Rampante headrests.
Factory equipment includes a power-retractable hardtop, Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), carbon-fiber exterior and interior trim, titanium exhaust tips, front and rear parking sensors, a suspension lift system, navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, and Scuderia Ferrari fender shields. Black-finished 20-inch split-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin tires complement the car’s aggressive stance, while blue Ferrari/Brembo brake calipers clamp cross-drilled carbon-ceramic rotors at each corner.
The cockpit reflects Ferrari’s motorsport-inspired philosophy with a carbon-fiber and leather steering wheel featuring integrated LED shift lights, oversized carbon-fiber paddle shifters, a red engine-start button, and the signature manettino drive-mode selector. Ahead of the driver sits a central tachometer with a 9,000-rpm redline flanked by configurable digital displays, reinforcing the Aperta’s focus on delivering one of the most engaging naturally aspirated driving experiences of the modern era.
