The Maserati MCXtrema is a highly exclusive track-focused machine engineered for customers who want the experience of a genuine racing car without being restricted to a conventional road-car platform. Developed primarily for track days and select racing events, the MCXtrema does not conform to a single competition category.

At its core is a 740-hp twin-turbocharged engine complemented by an aggressively optimized aerodynamic package. Maserati claims almost one tonne of downforce at approximately 310–315 km/h, giving the MCXtrema the aerodynamic stability required to exploit its substantial power through high-speed corners. Front aerodynamic blades manage airflow toward the cooling systems, while a massive rear wing and sculpted diffuser generate additional downforce. Dedicated ducting also directs cool air toward the brakes, intercoolers and transmission while efficiently evacuating hot air.

Braking performance is equally uncompromising. The MCXtrema uses a race-derived braking system with Bosch-developed ABS technology, delivering consistent stopping power, precise pedal modulation and strong resistance to heat buildup during extended sessions. Pirelli P Zero slicks provide the mechanical grip, while adjustable suspension, ride height and aerodynamic settings allow drivers to tailor the car to individual circuits and conditions.

Inside, the carbon-fiber construction continues. The lightweight doors, fixed racing seat, adjustable pedal box and height- and depth-adjustable steering wheel create a focused driving environment. A multi-function control layout provides access to engine mapping, ABS and traction-control settings, ignition, transmission functions and brake-force distribution. Traction control can be adjusted through 12 levels, allowing experienced drivers to progressively reduce electronic assistance.

Despite its uncompromising character, the MCXtrema includes air conditioning, ventilation windows and a camera-based rear-view system. The result is a sophisticated track-day car that combines extreme aerodynamic performance, race-grade hardware and bespoke craftsmanship with enough usability to make prolonged circuit sessions genuinely accessible.
