Listed on Bring a Trailer, this 2022 Ferrari 812 GTS represents an especially rare intersection of open-air performance, bespoke personalization, and Ferrari’s front-engine V-12 heritage. When introduced, the 812 GTS marked Ferrari’s return to a front-engined, series-production V-12 convertible since the iconic 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider. Mechanically derived from the 812 Superfast, it pairs a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter F140 V12 with a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transaxle, delivering a factory-rated 785 horsepower and 530 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through an E-Diff limited-slip differential.
Ferrari engineered the GTS to retain the Superfast’s exceptional performance despite its retractable roof. Revised gearing preserves acceleration, while extensive aerodynamic development compensates for the absence of a fixed roof. The electrically operated hardtop folds beneath the rear deck, allowing the car to transition seamlessly between coupe-like performance and open-air driving. Ferrari estimated 0–60 mph in approximately 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph.
This example is one of just 36 vehicles created for Ferrari’s 2020 “Ispirazioni” Tailor Made collection, a program intended to demonstrate the personalization capabilities of Ferrari’s bespoke department through liveries inspired by the marque’s historic cars, racing heritage, and design themes. Produced for the Canadian market, this 812 GTS was configured with approximately $218,000 in factory options and has covered only 1,500 miles.
Its Celeste Metallizzato Chiaro exterior is complemented by carbon-fiber detailing, polished 20-inch forged wheels, and black Ferrari brake calipers over carbon-ceramic rotors. Chassis technology includes Virtual Short Wheelbase four-wheel steering, magnetorheological suspension, and a front-axle lift system.
Inside, heated power-adjustable bucket seats combine Frau Nest Malachite leather with Verde Alcantara, with coordinated trim extending across the dashboard, console, and doors. “Ispirazioni” Tailor Made sill plates reinforce its exclusivity, while modern amenities include navigation, Apple CarPlay, JBL audio, a surround-view camera, drilled aluminum pedals, and dual-zone climate control.
Designed under Flavio Manzoni at the Ferrari Styling Centre, the 812 GTS remains a compelling expression of Ferrari’s V-12 philosophy—combining extraordinary naturally aspirated performance with sophisticated chassis technology and highly individualized craftsmanship.
