2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé Heads to RM Sotheby’s for $3.25M

One just 150 coupés produced worldwide

RM Sotheby’s is offering an exceptionally specified 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé at its 2026 London auction, with an estimate of  $2.45 million–$3.25 million. Limited to just 150 coupés worldwide, the Valkyrie represents one of the most ambitious attempts to translate Formula 1 engineering principles into a road-legal production car.

Developed jointly by Aston Martin, Red Bull Racing, and celebrated Formula 1 designer Adrian Newey, the Valkyrie emerged from the “Nebula” project with an uncompromising objective: deliver single-seater levels of aerodynamic and dynamic performance in a road-legal package. Its carbon-fibre-intensive construction and aggressively optimized underbody distinguish it from conventional hypercars.

The Valkyrie’s aerodynamic architecture centers on Venturi tunnels beneath the teardrop-shaped cockpit, channeling airflow toward a massive rear diffuser. This configuration enables more than 3.5 g of lateral acceleration in high-speed corners and, according to Aston Martin, as much as two tonnes of aerodynamic downforce.

At the heart of the Valkyrie is a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter Cosworth V-12. The 65-degree engine revs to approximately 11,100 rpm and is integrated directly into the carbon-fibre monocoque, serving as a stressed structural component rather than being isolated by conventional engine mounts. A Rimac-supplied electric motor and battery system supplement the combustion engine, producing a combined 1,160 horsepower. Power is delivered exclusively to the rear wheels through a Ricardo seven-speed sequential transmission, preserving the mechanical character expected of a hypercar conceived around racing principles.

This left-hand-drive Valkyrie was originally supplied to Japan and has remained with a single owner from new. Its bespoke specification added nearly £235,000 to the original £2.5 million pre-tax list price. Finished in Zenith White with blue-tinted exposed carbon fibre and Midnight Blue accents, it incorporates extensive Q by Aston Martin personalization.

The £40,000 Matte Black Magnesium Performance wheels, blue detailing, Alcon billet-aluminium brake calipers, carbon-fibre engine components, and factory-installed paint-protection film underline the car’s exceptional specification. Inside, Dark Knight and Bespoke Blue Alcantara combine with exposed carbon fibre and machined titanium steering-wheel controls to create a cockpit unmistakably influenced by motorsport.

With only 300 kilometres recorded at cataloguing, the car remains remarkably lightly used. It is accompanied by its owner’s documentation, accessories, charging cables, and a three-year service plan purchased in December 2024. For collectors, this Valkyrie represents more than a limited-production Aston Martin. It is a tangible expression of Newey-led aerodynamic thinking, Cosworth engineering, and extreme lightweight construction—making it one of the defining road-going hypercars of its generation.
