Automobiles of London

Yesterday RM Auctions sold a collection of cars that included lots from the Technik Museum in Sinsheim, the late O’Quinn Collection and Rolls-Royces from the Hooper Corporate Collection.

The absolute highlight of the sale was the world famous James Bond 1964 Aston Martin DB5 movie car driven by Sean Connery in Goldfinger and Thunderball. It fetched $4,608,500 USD and was among a premier selection of Astons on offer. The new owner Harry Yeaggy will likely display it at future events in the USA.

Our European photographer Dirk de Jager attended the sale in anticipation of the DB5 sale. He fell in love with the 1938 Talbot-Lago T23 Teardrop which made €2,048,435. You can enjoy these cars and more, with prices realized and descriptions in our feature gallery.
