Meet James: Gordon Murray’s First T.33 Mule

The T.33 is the second developed model from Gordon Murray Automotive and it is still in development. It has been conceived, designed, and engineered without compromise to offer the ultimate blend of performance, comfort, on-road driving experience, and everyday usability.

Recent videos released by Gordon Murray Automotive  offers a glimpse into the development of their two-seat, mid-engined T.33. One particularly intriguing segment showcases a T.33 prototype affectionately dubbed ‘James.’

The T.33 aims to outdo its predecessor, the T.50, in terms of weight reduction. It shares the same high-revving, naturally aspirated 3.9-liter V12 Cosworth engine, reaching an impressive 11,000 rpm. However, with 606 hp and 333 lb-ft of torque, it falls slightly short of the T.50’s 654 hp and 344 lb-ft.

Former racecar driver Dario Franchitti recently paid a visit to Gordon Murray Automotive’s HQ to get up close and personal with the T.33 prototype, adding to the excitement surrounding its development.
