The year was 1965 and I was going to drive a โ€™64 Porsche 904 owned by Porsche Car Pacific, the Northern California Porsche distributor, in a race at Candlestick Park, one that I looked forward to every year.

My friend and crew chief Homer Worth was โ€œthe man.โ€ He always adjusted the suspension and air pressure for maximum handling, and always had the car in top shape.
