Pretty poor. I daily drive a Cherokee and love the thing, actually, but gas mileage isn't a strong point.
Cherokees and Grand Cherokees are slow and they suck gas, but you'll probably have few problems and the problems you do have will be relatively simple.
Like, one of your windows will fail every year.
I stayed quiet there because I had found THE car.
It was a 1993 Toyota Sera imported into Vancouver. It was that ugly blueish silver color and automatic but it only had 60ish kms on it and.....#$%#ing BUTTERFLY Doors and a Toyota Tercel engine.
God damn. It sold right from under my feet.
MAybe it was a blessing, maybe not. I'm still really heart broken about losing BUTTERFLY DOORS but...
I have found this.
Really clean looking, lowish K and....PLAID SEATS. For those alone I want this car. But it has a manual, going to check it out tonight....
Anyone with experience? Heard parts were cheap, not as great on gas as it could be, still way better than anything i'd normally drive anyways though, and i heard it was fairly reliable and super easy to fix if it wasn't.
FEED ME BACK FEEDBACK
I WANT TO MAKE LOVE ON THOSE SEATS.
this is the only way i can make my car ownerships a reality.

stick is definately preferable with those. you will have sensor/electrical problems but its an older car so you'll get that no matter what you buy.
Can we just take a brief moment to reflect on the car that wasn't?
I know, it's a shitty slow automatic...
But guys, BUTTERFLY DOORS. Just imagine walking to it before work everyday. BUTTERFLY DOORS.
God damn Toyota Sera. It still HURTS.
just imagine those doors being frozen shut and you reefing on it trying to get it up only for it to succeed to become free and flinging you onto your ass in a slightly graceful forward summersault.

i'm satisfied. i thought about roll over accidents and shit but that's a pretty potential day to day #$%#ery for a winter car.
that and those tiny bullshit windows that don't open enough. those would be the biggest pain in the ass
I heard that the entire glass roof unit would magnify the sun during the summers.
I was still convinced I could overcome it all
