Meh I still rather have a Mazda3.
I like what they did to the matrix, looks a lot sportier now/more rounded. Plus the new options are pretty cool.
I advised my mom to buy a mazda three almost a year ago, and after having driven it a bunch (probably half the time), I still think it was the best choice.
2009? looks like its from 1999
I work at Toyota in Cambridge Ontario... anyways i've seen the pilot projects for these two and they're definately an improvement as far as looks are concerned. I like how the Matrix is more of a hatchback style I can't wait for the Lexus RX to have a facelift though..
the matrix makes me think of a 3 year old saturn redone. the corrolla looks about how i expected it to look, considering the yaris/scions.
Its still partying like it was 1999!
I don't like the slightly bloated front end treatment.
Matrix is an anime-inspired evolution. Not bad.
The Corolla looks like a slightly beefed up Corolla with a face-lower instead of a face-lift
this is what we were waiting for? the corolla looks slightly altered...it needs a radical overhaul. I like the corolla, we have quite a few on our lot but I realize that every other car in its class is better than it...and this is the new "improved" version?
Looks like a mini camry.
To me a Toyota looks like this (#1) and should look like that : #2.
so tall, and no side, and small wheels <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/disappointed.gif"></A>
Matrix- Production=Awesomey, Sema Version=Coolest Hatchback Ever (exculding WRC)
Corolla- Production= Much less bland, almost sort of drivable below the age of 35 Sema= Sexy ('specially the grille)
The Matrix looks are improved.. But I'm kinda thinking there going Pontiac-ish with the cookie cutter designs. It would be easy to get the front end of a Corolla, Camry and Echo confused.
normally that is called branding.
...Yeah and kills unique features of cars. Although I like the new front of the Camry I don't so much on the Corolla. I can tell a Toyota by it's badge, and I don't want to be guessing what model if there all going to be looking the same.
I am not a huge fan of the look but the look is unique to Toyota. They want people to know what sort of car it is. Size normally gives them away. I see nothing wrong with branding.
lol when the camry and accord looked the same
