  1. Yes. I was kinda sad when I found a parking spot because I was starting to smile from driving it. I think it looks pretty sharp too.

  2. I think it's going to take a bit more than varying levels of adhesion and limited run off space to intimidate Tommi Makinen. These are both things that he never really had in abundance during his racing career.

  3. I appreciate the driving a lot! But is it me, or is he grapping 2nd right befor Armberg by mistake, or what?

Srsly cool vid and awesome car btw!

  4.
  5. Made the WRC in the 90s perfect.

Growing up as a kid watching them two battling each other was one of the reasons I love cars so much.

  6. I'm more interested in these "significant" mods

  7. Auriol fanboy here <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  8. also a fixed roof

  9. #$%# oath man

  10. Agreed, its not stock, so it doesn't matter.

  11. Impressive.

  12. all ya'll can't handle the truth, keeping driving your HSVs.

  13. who are you?

  14. I like to consider the ring as a big closed special stage myself.

Every good 4wd (not rwd biased)laps I've seen were close to his choices.

  15. Forum stupidity aside, from the faster cars at the Ring, are any of them cheaper than this STI?

Basicall is it the fastest in its price range?

  16. I feel weird saying it, but I like the original hatchback a lot more than the sedan. I think it's probably to do with having the time for the hatchback to grow on me before the sedan was released.

My next car will probably be an STI hatch. It's everything I like about my current car, but faster.

  17. haha

  18. fanboi in the making

You should drive one before determining if you like it no not.

  19. also, this is tommi makkinen - he has no fear of going flying off a track.

  20. STi > WRX > daylight > 240sx

They still look shit though. I like the hatch more than the sedan and I #$%#ing hate the hatch.

  21. I can say that I much prefer how my generation of STi feels compared to the new one.

The new one feels slightly more sterile, more disconnected from the road. Yeah, its an all around nicer car, but it feels less like an extension of your body than the previous chassis. Oh, and it doesnt beg to be d0rift0ed at all times.

  22. Did you not see the video?? Mäkinen drove like a bat out of hell. The pure experience of it all was well worth it.

    +1 on the 5th to 2nd downshift Mr. Mäkinen <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  23. Wonder how much time was lost to the fact the car was right hander, while I dont know Tommis history too well I would say it certainly counts. Especially on a manual car.

Also... Whats with him driving a Subaru?

  24. He drove for Subaru at the end of his WRC career.

  25. Why would you compare this to a ZO6, ZO6 turky slaps the STI no matter how you slice it. Anyway, you know which car I would choose, no need to say it.
