I'd have expected more like 3.1~3.2 range judging by its power. I like the top speed, though.
It is all about the gear ratios. You sacrifice acceleration when you spread the ratios out wide. That is why the top speed is high. I still have never driven a car that went 0-60 in 3.5. Maybe someday.
It only surprises me because it also has 780 lb/ft of torque.
Maybe it could be capable with launch control but it's also not geared for that sort of acceleration. But it's fast enough so why bother?
I don't understand measuring a car's capabilities by 0-100 km/h acceleration.
Did anyone notice that this is one of the only (if not the only) normally aspirated engine to have more than 100 pounds of torque per liter?
