ACRS the predecessor of the airbag introduced back by GM in 1974

    General Motors introduced the ACRS (air cushion restraint system) back in 1973 and 1974. The ACRS was the predecessor of the airbag almost by 15 years . It was offered as an option on some buicks, oldsmobile and caddies.
