Actual test of F1 GTR

Discussion in '1993 McLaren F1 GTR' started by EDWARD BEAN, Aug 10, 2002.

  1. Performance Car tested an F1 GTR in its 11/97 issue. The 0-60 time is not that great because the owners of the car insisted the car be launched from the lowest traction portion of the track in order to avoid damaging the car. Here are the results:
    0-60 3.36
    0-100 5.70
    1/4 mile 10.54@145
That trap speed of 145 indicates a significantly better power to weight ratio than the street F1.

It has nice figures, don't it? As for the drag title of F1's, it goes to the F1 LM. More power, lees weight, and less road course downforce gear. But I'm sure the GTR would whup the LM at Laguna Seca.<!-- Signature -->
