Porsche is UNSTOPABLE !
I hope Doran/Lista decide to run the remainder of the season with the MC12. I know they're planning on PLM and Laguna Seca, but they should to Mosport and Detroit too. That way I can see the MC12 again! The car is already here, and there wouldn't be any scheduling conflicts with them running their Lola in the LMS.
They've said they'll run either the MC12 or the Lola at PLM/LS, but not both. I hope we get the MC12, especially with the likelihood of us getting Aston back here for the last 3 races getting slimmer and slimmer.
Indeed, they got their ass kicked big time in GT2
stay Maserati!!!<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>
I watched the entire race and fell asleep with 5 minutes left in the race!!!!! Last thing I recall was the Audi R10 was hot on the tracks of the DHL Porsches.... what happened??
Porsche tops Audi yet again
youtube me please
that was the best broadcast ALMS has. The commentators were so in to it and i thought they did a great job. considering they always do NASCAR . They should do way more ALMS races, fcuk CBS, its good but not that good.
"They should do way more ALMS races."
It's up to the ALMS to decide that. NBC won't do them unless Panoz pays for it.
You should call the ALMS and let Scotty Rogain know how much you enjoyed the NBC coverage.
After watching the recording of the recording of the ALMS race at RA I have to ask why the ALMS, if not the ACO, just can LMP1? What is the point of Audi racing no one in the ALMS LMP1 class and then getting beaten by their largest single shareholder who does so with an LMP2 car?
ALMS GT1 makes even less sense at this point. If I owned GM stock I would tell them not to waste the money.
NBC was terrible, worser than CBS IMO. Thank God we're back on Speed for the rest of the races!
"NBC was terrible, worser than CBS IMO. Thank God we're back on Speed for the rest of the races!"
Yeah, it was much worser.
It is gooder that "we're" back on Speed.
Wow, I can't believe I typed that...
There is a quote button sir.
The RS ran into some lap traffic but they were able to stay up front. The R10 got within about four car lengths but that's about it.
They kept comparing ALMS to NASCAR and Champ Car and were saying how superior it was. It was great.
yea i noticed that, Larry saying they were racing like stock cars or something lmfao, im not saying speed is bad coverage its amazing but NBC was much better than CBS i thought, who gives a sh!t as long as i can watch the race<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
The R10 was held up on the final lap by the Autocon Creation in the Carousel. Had that not happened, I definitely think Audi would have caught the Porsche by turn 14, and let the torque of the diesel pull them to the win.
I wish we could have at least had a realllllly close finish.
im starting to get pissed with the two creations, the damn GT1 vettes are almost faster.
I really hate it that ALMS races aren't on SPEED Channel because it means I never watch any of them except Sebring and Petit Le Mans. Thankfully I still get to watch the Rolex Sports Car Series (which I much prefer), but would this race be worth downloading or should I just wait until early October for the 10-hour Georgia classic?
ALMS is going to be on Speed for the rest of the season. I don't like the Rolex Series because the prototypes aren't even as fast as the ALMS GT2 cars.
rolex prototypes are the ugliest things ive seen on a track in a long while
And as much as people rave about how close the racing is, the race I saw in person was literally the most boring race I've ever seen!
I don't really care about outright speed. I'm more interested in how the cars handle and I love watching them slide around under power. In fact, if I was given the chance to drive any three race cars in history, one would be a DP.
Edit: and I think the other two would be a Formula RT/2000 and Alain Menu's Super Touring BTCC Mondeo...
They may not be beautiful, but they're certainly not ugly.
And I'm sure some people would even say they're better looking than the old Group C/GTP cars.
You have got to be #$%#ing kidding.
