People complain about American cars havin big engines andc little power. How aboiut this 7.5l with only 440BHP. LAME!!

We actually its not because POWER TO ENGINE SIZE DOES NOT MATTER TO HOW GOOD AN ENGINE IS!!! GET A GRIP PEOPLE!!

Put just a point to whining Jap Lovers, Ferrari not just Yanks build huge engines that dont have "a lot" of BHP per litre.

May I remind you all, its just a concept car...
I'm sure "if" Ferrari was going to produce the car it wont be making 440 hp...<!-- Signature -->

    Its a mistake, moron... its 5.5 litres...<!-- Signature -->

Actually, you are wrong. The engine IS 7.5L. The HP/L is 59.15, if you simply multiply that by 7.5, you get exactly 443.625HP. Its not basic math, just basic logic.

Hey Racepics, im not sure whether you mean that it would have more or less HP if it were a production car, for now ill assume that you mean more seeing as how it is a Ferrari.

  7. Re: AND PPL COMPLAIN BOUT AMERICAN CARS!!!!

Directly from the official Ferrari website the displacement for the 456M GT/GTA is 5,474 cc. There was a typo on the supercars.net website obviously.

Also about this: "May I remind you all, its just a concept car..."
Where did you get that idea? And even if this package were a concept, it does not include any changes to the engine.

If you don't want to sound stupid check things out before you post.

how can you even compare thýs to a vette, thýs ýs a 2+2 coupe not a 2 seater all out super sports car, the ferrarý combines style elagance luxury qualýty and speed ýn one car and the vette has no luxury (ýnterýor made of plastýc) no style (very boxy and has pratýcaly no contour ends) no elegance (ýts a vette, need ý say more) and ýn 20 years when you go apply for a REAL job and show up ýn a vette and others show up ýn a ferrarý they wýll laugh at you, the only thýng the vette has ýs performance, when ferrarý wants to make an all out performance car for the masses to afford ýt would probably smoke a vette.<!-- Signature -->

  9. Re: AND PPL COMPLAIN BOUT AMERICAN CARS!!!!

Nice try there trying to justify american cars huge displacement and low output but almost every ferrari is putting out 110 hp/liter which they consider to be an accomplishment. Plus the information on this car here is wrong so... nice try basing a whole theory on 1 car with mistakes in its specs.<!-- Signature -->

  11. Re: AND PPL COMPLAIN BOUT AMERICAN CARS!!!!

If you look at ferrari road car history.......its quite rare for ferrari to push an engine to its HP limits. <!-- Signature -->

no actually you are wrong . Scuderium is right .

    a ferrari 456 has a 456x12 = 5472 cc engine ..so its a 5.5 l engine

and 442 /5.5 = 80 hp/l .. thats not bad for a gt . a car that wasnt designed to be high revved 365 day 24/7 , and is more a highway cruiser than an track racer <!-- Signature -->

  14. Re: AND PPL COMPLAIN BOUT AMERICAN CARS!!!!

This wasn’t designed to race the Z06 but could still beat it on certain tracks. The top end power is better. I wouldn’t expect it to be a bad handler either considering it’s a Ferrari.
Besides, compare it to another American 2+2 coupe and compare those stats.
99% of American cars are junk.

  15. Re: AND PPL COMPLAIN BOUT AMERICAN CARS!!!!

Comparing this car to any Corvette is pointless because people with the money to buy either will not make that comparison. Whoever said the engine is 5.5L is right and a real car expert would not even have to check to know that 7.5L was not accurate.

this was the first Front engined Ferrari in 20 years (it came out before the Maranello)
and in engine development the italian engineers decided to schew the high tech gizmos that abound in modern engines and instead go for the brute power of a large engine.

The sound of this engine coming to life is harmonoius.
And whoever dares to ever compare this Ferrari with a jap pocket rocket shouldn't be allowed to post here anymore.<!-- Signature -->

NO SHIT!!! If you would review the quotes you would see tha i admitted that I was wrong, and apologized, but you didnt, did you?

  18. Re: AND PPL COMPLAIN BOUT AMERICAN CARS!!!!

Yeah, Steve the Bugatti fan! This car does have a much smaller engine than posted. And as for the person who said they would rather have a z06 over this, that is because you have no class. Not only would this car hold its own (im not saying it would win, but it can easily take on any 'normal' car), but it has a MUCH more comfortable interior. Not to mentiod that little horse on the hood makes it more desirable than something with two crossed flags...<!-- Signature -->

Racepics ::rolls eye's:: this is no concept! It's just a 02'456 GT which was modified for Mike Shumacher! It has a new color scheme and sterio! Nothing else! Visit www.ferrariworld.com to FIGURE IT OUT!
