  1. Beasty looking car, bit slow though<!-- Signature -->

  2. Re: beasty but...

Maybe is 'cause of the gearing; better acceleration instead of high topspeed.

  3. Re: beasty but...

I think 139 mph is enuff when you race in rallies...

  4. Re: beasty but...

I can tell you ItŽs not...

  5. Re: beasty but...

When rallying 225kph is more than enough. even in places like the Acropolis or the Tour de Corse you nearly never reach 200kph.

  6. Re: beasty but...

afaik if the average speed on rally's special circut is greater than 124kph than the circut is being called off (canceled). its not drag racing. nowadays only WRC cars with long gearboxes can go up to 220kph and they can run that fast not on many rallys.

  7. Re: beasty but...

The rallies are for cornering and planning not really top speed. But in WRC the go very fast indeed.

  8. It is true that rally cars never reach very high top speeds, but in the Group B days of the Safari Rally an Audi Sport Quattro could reach 255km/h and a Toyota Celica Twin Cam could go up to 260km/h.
