Best Inline 4 ever built?

Discussion in '1999 Leblanc Caroline' started by nissanZboy, Aug 27, 2002.

  1. This car's awesome, in my opinion the best ever inline 4 ever built, and maybe even the best car ever built.

It's light weight to achieve such quick acceleration and less momentum when it comes to stopping.
A light Engine and a slim body to go alogn with it.
The Downforce Holds the car to the ground.
And the engien oh boy, this Engine's awesome, a twin turbo inline 4, brilliant, light weihgt to go with the car. And also It packs out a lot of power for an inline 4. The people behind this car have certainly done a good job.

And to add another thing. I have studied physics so I know this. The Momentum of a car is calculated by p(Momentum) = m(mass)v(velocity (sub in speed)) so p = mv.

That means the heavier cars have more momentum and the same speeds and then they would require a greater force to stop them. Because this car only wieghs 785 kg. then this car would also benefit in many more ways due to it's light weight. This car keeps getting better and better.

    Or:

    Lot o torque = lot o smiles <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  4. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

yes, well i mean this car's the best inline 4, they don't usually have much do they.....

  5. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

Whats up with the $900,000 4 cylinder!!!

  6. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

Did you look at the stats of this car and the fact that they were so careful about the weight... Hondas should take on this idea for 2004 cars <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A>

  7. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

I have to agree also. i would love to put that engine in my sisters mercury tracer though <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A>

nice motor, nice car, do do something with it if they would have made more.

  9. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

probably liek another guy said the company needed help to make the car, they could probably only afford oen prototype after settig up the company, they probably drive it themselves and take it to shows.

  10. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

might just be "da one", this things crazy, yo... how can you get 500 horsies out of a 2 litre engine? plus, its light as HELL... 970? This thing could fly...

  11. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

520 out of an inline 4 is nothing, someone, forgot who it was, came out with an Integra that was pushing 1200hp out of an inline 4

  12. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

how long would it last?? on the road i mean

  13. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

    4 cylinders and 520 bhp.
    Wait...348 km/h...F***ck!

  14. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

    yep agreed

  15. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

The best inline 4 ever built? Agreed. The best car ever built? Not to me. everything exept the design is great, and dont think i said that it was bad, because when i post this i think design is pretty OK.

  16. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

i bet that could do 0-60....well....once....and then it'd blow up

  17. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

It doesnt take any studying of physics to know that.

  18. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

No, the best inline 4 is the VAG 1.8T found in most Audi/VW/Skoda/Seat models.

That ingine displaces 1781cc and is tunable to up to 600hp with ONE turbo.

  19. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

Veyronman I dont know what it is with you you either know nothing whatsoever about engines or are just ignorant. The only way a engine can blow up or "detonate" as it is called is if you were dumb enough to have a engine say a 4 cylinder with too big a turbo that wasnt made for the car and turn the boost all the way up without upgrading anything else, or if you were to say use a stock toyota, honda, etc., 4 cylinder with nothing done to the engine and add a 75 or higher shot of nos without upgrading anyhting else. The only way a engine can blow up "detonate" is by human error. I really dont understand why you seem to think this 4 cyl in the Leblonc will blow up maybe you can tell us why u think that.

  20. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

256.0 bhp per litre all i got to say is GOOD GOD THATS MEAN

  21. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

That's pretty good, but not the best at all. The BMW M3 4cyl engine is alot better. There are 900hp+ street legal cars with that engine. Also the Toyota 2.1l 4cyl IMSA engine is awesome. 1500hp with one turbo. It's used alot in drag racing here. They've run a full season with the engine and without opening it once. Also there is a funny little Toyota Starlet lurking around. 1.3l 16v twincam with a Holset turbo and Hestec fuel injection. The thing kicks out 450hp+ and 1/4 goes in 9.97s/216.20km/h.

  22. Re: Best Inline 4 ever built?

i do mean the best car built that has an inline 4 engine
