Its sad how maintanance and insurance can be the deciding factor on if u get a great car or a so so car. Im thinking of the 928 right now. They have a porsche built v8 and u can get one in decent condition for 5 grand but if it breakes down may go have mercy on your pocket book.<!-- Signature -->

I wrote that really late at night man, sorry. but I still hold true to the essence of the statement, that if you really love cars, you gotta be willing to pay the insurance. And other crap like that. You don't neccessarily have to spend a lot on the car though, actually. I got a great car for 400 bucks. (a 66 buick in descent running shape) And there's lots of great cars, BMW makes great vehicles, and I love old mopar products too, and I drive a GM. I can like lots of manufacturers. And I do. <!-- Signature -->

Yeah i know how it is thats why im considering a 1995 M3. Parts are way cheaper. I know a kid whos dad has a porsche 928S. Fast car but he had to pay $7k for a transmission rebuild, talk about killer. An E30 M3 isnt as bad for parts if you buy them from a good source, if not then its off to the $tealer.

every luxury car is a big money waste, however if i had the money i would have a bmw in my garage. u will pay more for everything. the 2002 m3 is over 1k more expensive to insure than a o2 ZO6. service is not cheap either. then again thats what u get with the best cars in the world. jaguar sucks, that is one car not worth all the money. i drove the xjr and it does not compare to any of its german counterparts.<!-- Signature -->

It depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for an incredible handling car for something like club racing, this is a great car. I’ve got an 88 325e with 238,000 miles that I race. Show me a car from any other manufacturer you can say that about. Not to mention a normal person with a garage can still work on these themselves. That will save you big bucks in labor.

I got an Idea. Get an old M3, tune the suspension, the drop in the M12/13tc F1 turbo engine from the 1986 benetton B186. 1500 horses, Oh MY! I know this will never work, but I can dream.........
