It's funny, in 80 years people will be saying the same about our Toyota GT1 and McLaren F1. If you lived in 1914 I don't think you would have the same opinion.<!-- Signature -->

  3. Re: nice car

Back then this car would probably blow peoples minds! It's all relative. That car back then had lots of people in more rual areas thinking it's magical. More of an impact then even than a McLearen now.<!-- Signature -->

It's too boxy - yes I know it's from the EARLY 1900's, but how can anyone say it is nice looking? Mad cool for so early in car technology though.<!-- Signature -->

  6. Re: nice car

cars used to look like this in 1910s. except in racing cars headlights and fenders were drop off to reduce weight.

  9. Re: nice car

This nice car has won the 1914 French Grand Prix with Christian Lautenschlager and its the only official win for the 1914 Mercedes that counted towards the pre-war grands prix seasons.

  13. Re: ITS UGLy

Suprised cars went that fast in 1914. Never thought about race cars back then. Figured that happend in the 30's.

  14. Re: ITS UGLy

I think it has its own kind of class, and a 100+ in 1914, that is impressive !<!-- Signature -->

    Hey Dj CRazzY

We have to thank Benz for making the first motor car. There you go.

  16. Re: ITS UGLy

Hey sprjames, people have been racing cars since they were invented. The car race in the US was in 1895 in Chicago, if you think they didn't race before the 1930's, you're sorely mistaken.

  17. Re: ITS UGLy
