2. 5 door can be hatchback too

but yeah, you are correct - there are probably exceptions to this rule* but you're pretty much right, IMO

*(original mini is one i can think of... 2 doors, not a hatchback, but it's not a coupe, and Austin called it a Saloon)
3. micro-station wagon
4. How much $$$?
5. 96-01 Explorer 4.0L SOHC with an Explorer Express Magnuson MP62 supercharger, JBA headers and X-spec suspension upgrade.
6. Best post.
7. First post:

"I'm only planning on spending 2-3K because I don't intend to use it much"
8. Explorer Eddie Bauer for all the haters
9. Land Rover Defender.
10. They're actually decent rides. I'd search for one with under a 100000 miles and newer than 15 years old, cause after that point shit like suspension bushings and such went out fairly quickly.
12. cyclone or typhoon (forget which is the SUV)
13. Even if I could find one for 2K... I wouldn't touch it. I don't know for fact if the Defenders are any better than other LRs... But every person I know with one has had nothing but trouble. Besides I already bought something!
14. Sooo I bought a Cherokee today.

1992 4 door, 4x4. It's black with a pretty straight body, a small dent on the rear driver side door, and like 2 little dings. Only 119K on the clock. Needs an alignment job, and has a little exhaust leak, but that's about it. Power locks are out (common problem according to my Cherokee freak buddy), windows work great. 1500 bucks. Pretty good deal compared to the other stuff I saw on CL and autotrader, and my buddy said it was a good deal too... So I'm happy

I figure after fixing the alignment, and possibly doing an exhaust system on it in the future I'll still be in it pretty good and it'll be good to go for a long while.
15. the Grand cherokee is a clunky piece of shit. If you want a Jeep SUV, get the 90's cherokee 4 door. That vehicle is awesome and was my first. I had a 1997 model.
It may be hard to find one though as they were really popular.

16. Done, and done...
17. i was amazed at how little interior space there is in the cherokee
18. Yeh, I just use as general rule that whatever opens up that contains a window (bar the hoods of the ZR1 & F430 obvi) counts as a door.
19. the rule i think of is if it opens up and enables entry to the interior, then it's a door

gotta think of vans too! lol
20. It's pretty small as far as AMERIKA #$%# YEAH!!! SUVs go.
21. sorted
22. Oh, like on any other vehicle?
