this will start a 20 page thread it may keep up on pace, but it will still fall over on build quality and interior finish. it's better than the old CTS, but not as good as an M5 or E63 in this respect... I'm not going to mention the Audi because everyone knows they make the BEST interiors of any mainstream manufacturers
DUH. It's a Caddy. That's how we do it in America. We're just not good at some things. We try to make up for it with horsepower and flashy styling (bling). That doesn't always work.
Possibly! I have been in the inside of a new normal CTS. It was pretty damn nice. It's been highly rated. I have not personally been inside any of the competitors. Only a newer normal 5 something, which I would say is pretty much comparable. I'm not a big interior snob though, so I suppose I can't comment for sure. I know lots of people won't really give a shit since they're at least in the ballpark now and will probably give it a whirl because it lays the smackdown performance wise.
Like I said, it's close enough in all the interior shit... Probably going to be more reliable than anything coming out of Germany... It is badass in terms of performance... Lower price... Styling is awesome. I'd say overall it's a comparable car. It's just which pet peeves/tastes the particular person has as to which is "better". I'd go CTS-V for sure. Then Audi!!!

Ya, but it was beaten by FORD. And BMWs have always been somewhat tempermental with the engines. I'm surprised by Audi though.
This falls over on interior finish? "Even more surprising is the interior. Trimmed by the people who do the Bugatti Veyron, it is and you wont believe this a nice place to be. The seats are by Recaro, the leather is hand-stitched and the graphics dont appear to have come from Amstrad circa 1984. You would swear you were sitting in something European. YUH BUTT ETS AMIRUKUN! SO IT KANT HANDL AND INRIOR IS SHIT BEKUS ONLY BOOGATTI SHOULD US IT! *in before any more douche bags claim something as asinine
That's amazing. I didn't know Audi had actually stopped being total shit. That's sweet since I like Audi! As Phano said, that's not reliability though. I was more talking mechanical. That counts an engine exploding the same as a window button not working. If anything I would say the minor build quality issues are "holding it back", and the engine/tranny are probably better... Which is what I meant. In any event it definitely has a better warranty, less required maintenance, and any problems that do occur will be cheaper to fix. Which is all awesome in terms of the ownership experience.
Nobody in the UK wants to spend 50k on a left hand drive car that will be ass raped by tax schemes, have the fuel economy of light aircraft and there be no guarantee the company making it will exist in 1 to 5 years.
Wow, that's an amazing interior. It looks very european, almost as if it was made by the same people who did the Bugatti Veyron. No, seriously, it's a very nice interior.
JD POWER'S INITIAL QUALITY RATING IS NOT A MEASURE OF RELIABILITY. IT IS NOT A MEASURE OF RELIABILITY. NOT. MEASURE. RELIABILITY.
