Race Extreme version of Caparo T1 announced, plus new canopy option
    19th March 2009

Caparo has released details of its high-end Race Extreme version of the Caparo T1. The vehicle is aimed specifically at full-on (and affluent) trackday enthusiasts and has been built with the company’s usual no-compromise approach to producing ultimate track performance projectiles. Engine power from the fuel injected V8 is 620bhp at 10,500rpm, and, coupled with the car’s flea-sized dry weight of 550kgs, is gutsy enough to propel the vehicle to 100mph in just 5.8seconds! Top speed is listed as 208mph.

The car comes with fully adjustable suspension and aerodynamic packs, tuneable ECU, high-spec braking system, six-speed sequential gearbox and fully adjustable traction control system.

Caparo has also bowed to customer demand and created a full climate pack, consisting of a plexiglass canopy and air conditioning. Canopy cost is £21,760, and an air-con unit can be fitted for an extra £3,750. The option can be installed on new orders as well as existing T1 models. More info from >>> (evo)
  2. Have they made the standard version more or less reliable yet?...
  3. How many cars have they delivered
  4. I guess by this you are refering to the top gear test?
  5. lunacy

is this one still street legal?
  6. If it is I will officially jizz myself.

  7. street legal would be such a huge waste of effort time and money. make it illegal and thousands of dollars less/less soft
  8. whew i was hoping Caparo would finally come out with something hardcore unlike all their other soft minivanesque offerrings
  9. Also every other test in which something went seriously wrong.
  10. yeah man, how boring

  12. This version is even more retarded than the standard one. <A BORDER="0" HREF=""><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/disappointed.gif"></A>

If I wanted an ultra-fast trackday toy I'd buy an F3 racer for 1/15th the cost or perhaps a Radical for 1/10th the money.
  13. I agree.
you can get a 90's era F1 car for caparo money.
  14. yo dawg i hear you like extra power in your car with extra power so you can be even more unreliable while your unreliable car breaks down constantly
  15. this car is stupid. just give it less power to make it more reliable. itll still be a fast car then.
  16. 14 I believe.
  17. Not really. And considering the Top Gear test car was a test mule.
  18. maybe if they gave it TC or a gears suitable for road use or heaven forbid some low speed grip.
  19. my memory also reflects the T1 to being explodey.

it won'tbe long before they're rebodying T1's to look like Fieros.
  20. this is the most insane car ever
not that that is a bad thing cuz its not i wouldn't mind having one
except everything for this car is so stupidly expensive like all supercars.
and i dont think they have delivered a single car as of yet but i could be wrong
  21. You are wrong. They've delivered 14 so far.
  22. such a lot of n00b comments in this topic goddamn
  23. I wonder if it is street legal in the US
