  1. i just bought a new system, and i cant take any thing back. so my question is. i bought 4G of ram, but now i see that windows vista only supports 3? is there something i can do?

  2. and whats better.. vista 32 or 64?

  3. no
it's all about running 32 bits. If you want to use it fully, install 64 bits OS.

    /thread

  4. Vista 32-bit supports 4gb and 64-bit supports a lot more than that. Don't return it.

  5. Keep it then when you upgrade to vista 64-bit you will be able to use use.

  6. so if i just install vista 64 i wont have any problem and i can run every aplication?

  7. I tested it and I concluded it doesn't work.
    I'm back on 32bits.

  8. I'm running 32bits with 4g ram.

  9. You'll probably have less compatibility issues using 32-bit, but the future is 64-bit. I really don't think MS should release a 32-bit version of Windows 7. The limit's been reached RAM wise, and there's no going back in the world of computers.

Your computer will run fine using the amount of RAM that 32-bit windows supports, but you obviously won't get the full benefit of 4 gigs of RAM.

  10. #$%#ing windows 98

  11. Yeah, but you're computer's not actually using the full 4 gigs.

  12. I see you only bought 3 negroes, are you sure you wouldn't be better off with 4 for a higher workload and faster picking speeds?

  13. how, fully using em?

  14. all 32bit systems do 3gb ram, osx/windows, if you want 4gb you have to get 64bit windows. i have it, works fine.

  15. To clear up some possible confusion...

4gb will work fine with 32bit windows, but it won't utilize more than ~3.25 gb of it. 64 bit would be able to utilize the full 4gb, but it's probably no big deal, unless you are multitasking enough where you will really be using more than 3gb of ram (unlikely unless you do alot of video editing and such)

  16. what currency are those prices in?

  17. is your processor 32 or 64 bit?

  18. Man I got like 800 bits.

  19. Mexican Pesos 1 dollar = 13 pesos

  20. wow im glad I read this thread. I was going to buy 2 more gigs for my laptop. Now I only need to buy 1

  21. am guessing am goig to use 64 ultimate because the only thing am going to use this pc is for MS Office, firefox, tv shows, burn dvd, messenger, donwload movies.

  24. Trivia... the amount of memory addressable in a 64-bit system is apparently more then the amount of memory that has ever been produced. Ever.

  25. like 17 billion gb
