http://members.roadfly.com/jason/m3engines.htm Check this and then buy a Porsche or Maserati!! These cars at list last more then 5000-8000 miles with out to blow the engine. bmw have major problems with this engines but they pays a lot of $$$ to kip things quite. All the cars are new!!!! And there are several owner that have had again the problem after they put in a new engine!! Off course the Bmw dealers are doing every thing to make look that the unlucky owner have drove the car very fast and etc.. What the hell, you spend $75000 for this type of cars to drive like my grandfather? The think is that this corporations do what the heck they want!! They suck and who is paying is the poor idiot that believe in this s... product! I have to tell to all the BMW fan that the reliability and all this stories about German cars are very far from reality seen years! Beside they also sucks in Formula one big time blowing engines there too! I have a 325 94 model that is loosing peaces in the street and I do not know how much we spend in this thing. I could have buy it twice. I have friends that where telling me: buy an M3 and sell the Maserati 224 they are less problematic. Thanks Good they never convince me and I still have my 10 years old Masa running perfectly after 130000km. My friend have already sold the m3 4 years ago, after 2 blown engines one at 22000km and the other after 6 month they replace it. He will never buy again an m3!Beside when we where driving in the Autostrada I onestly tell you that only few times he was able to be in front. Most of the ime was always looking at my Masa rear lights. 0,5 seconds of difference on paper do not realy show up when you drive on a Hiway but 16000 dollars engines are making a big difference in your wallet. Beside the unconfortable feeling that you will stend in the midle of the street wheiting for a towtruck to give you a ride he He. Good luck for actual owner I realy hope that you will not have any of those problems.
