From what i read in the latest EVO, the Scuderia was almost 2 sec faster per lap than a 997 GT2 on that track Evo uses ! What happened to the GT2 ? It was slower than a LP560 and GTR on some tracks in the Road and Track Sports Car issue..

Yeah i have just bought the issue 'white heat', the scud is a second quicker than the 560-4 aswell around bedford. EVO did full perofrmance test of the porsche and lambo, compared to the scud. Will do scans if i get time, tommorow, if not the friday.
Apparently Lamborghini doesn't have any plans for a lightweight LP560, so the Scuderia has pretty much won this one (unless you consider the vastly more expensive Murcielago SV to be on the same field).

The GT2 is clearly faster, It just went off the track to run over some jews before completeing the lap

Maybe its time for Porsche to promote the Cayman to top track car status. Give it an RS and GT2 version. The next 430 replacement will probably be incredibly fast.
From what I've read, out of the box the GT2's chassis isn't set up as well as it could. Many owners are specifying that dealer's change the suspension geometry to GT3 RS spec and this is resulting in a transformation of the handling.
