you must play shitty games or something, i really don't get alot of those. its gotten alot better since the halo 2 days.

  3. Game Thread XXXIII -- Top 10 Games (pg42)

    So?

F3 and GT5 are supposed to have drift apparently

  4. Game Thread XXXIII -- Top 10 Games (pg42)

    Point Lookout looks awesome

  5. Game Thread XXXIII -- Top 10 Games (pg42)

Yeah but F3 and GT5 aren't known for changing the physics depending on the mode of play.

  6. Game Thread XXXIII -- Top 10 Games (pg42)

Halo 3 and COD4 are serious business

  7. Game Thread XXXIII -- Top 10 Games (pg42)

I got it a few days ago. It's so addicting.

I'm only missing Economic Victory on King now, it's so friggin hard. I was 1 turn away from winning, but someone reached Alpha Centauri the same turn my World Bank finished, so I lost.

I've got nothing against drifting as long as they do it with proper physics and not some stupid artifical rap that lets any 12 year old drift like a pro.

That said I still don't really like drifting, but I'm not offended that its in the game.

Since some of you seem to still be playing Forza 2, let's set up a race at some point.

  11. Game Thread XXXIII -- Top 10 Games (pg42)

Really? I find that economic victory is the easiest victory. I just beat everything on King. I look forward to getting my ass whooped on the next level.

Which civ is your favorite? I rep the Americans when I mean serious business.

So I'm far more excited for SHIFT than FM3 and GT5 combined.

Oh yeah! Uncharted 2 don't give up cutscene is out. Not many games can get you hooked to play it just for the cutscenes... but Naughty Dog has done it again. lol And the crazy thing is that its not just the cutscenes that make the game great! The Graphics even beat Killzone 2, it's like CGI.

My advice for anybody who's planning to buy/rent/play Uncharted 2: don't watch any cutscenes or gameplay footage!!

So I just got through playing the Battlefield demo. Pretty fun. Seemingly exactly like 1942 for PC but more polished, I think. Not sure if it's worth $15 though.

I'd say it definitely is, and I'm actually impressed with the graphics considering the cost and size. I think it was like 500mb or something?

I don't look forward to shelling out for new maps though, as I'm sure I will. But I've been wanting a great basic game like this for a while, since I just get owned every time I try to play counter strike these days.

I finally got Economic on King.

I haven't used all the leaders yet, so I'm not sure what my favourite is. American Factories are a little insane though.

    Emperor should be fun.

If EA ever comes out with a game that plays like NFS:U2 i'd be more excited about it than those games too.

Forza is fun, but drifting street racings are more fun to me.

"After a few weeks of quiet since E3 we're pleased to reveal a new game mode for Need for Speed SHIFT: Drifting. In the last few years the sport has rocketed in popularity to point where there are large, successful tournaments around the world. When it came time to add it to SHIFT we wanted to ensure the mode was treated with the same degree of accuracy as the rest of the game so we worked closely with Team Falken driver and World Champion Vaughn Gittin JR. Initially the plan was for Vaughn to play the game a few times and give some feedback but he ended up spending more than 100 hours with the team to make sure the Drift experience was as close to real-life as possible."

Video of SHIFT's drift mode -->

Edit: I just noticed that the Falken Mustang in this screenshot is actually wearing Falken RT-615 tires.

Why wouldn't it? That's just a video game recreation of a fairly famous drifting photo. And of course the car Falken sponsors is going to run Falken tires.

I just think it's cool that SMS took care to model the tires correctly.
