I'm a lifelong, diehard car nut who just found this site. Go figure. Originally from Chicago I now live in Surf City, USA. This area is car heaven! Nothing rusts and everybody seems to have way too much money for their own good. There are cruises or shows almost every day of the week. My favorite is a weekly show in Corona del Mar that attracts everything from Foose hot rods to Petersen museum pieces. I've gone pretty much every Saturday for a little over a year now and can't believe how consistently astonishing the turnout is. In the past month alone there have been Enzos, Carrera GTs, SLRs, Saleen S7s, Mrs. Callaway's 40th birthday present custom Speedster, and even a Vector M12 and a Cizeta-Moroder. I'll post some pics (I have over 1,000) when I figure out how. My Dad got me started young. He had a '64 single 4-bbl, 4-speed GTO hardtop until a month after I was born, then moved into a '69 Catalina 2+2. I learned how to read from his C and D, and R & T mags scattered all around the house. To think, now I live about 2 miles from th R & T offices! I've never owned anything more exotic than a 1981 Lancia Zagato, but I have driven quite a few fun cars over the years. I used to be a salesman at MotorWerks of Barrington and my wife's boss owns quite a few awesome cars. Luckily he's a pretty cool guy. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and tell you all that this is a pretty cool site.
