What's wrong with Giuliani being too left? Maybe he could be the moderate that many Americans are yearning for.

Nah dude, the American electorate might collectively hate Bush and hate the Republicans, but not as much as they collectively hate women/blacks. Or broads/nignogs, however you want to say it.

 

McCain's support for the troop surge might hurt his chances in becoming President among liberals.

 

I'd say it killed any chance he had (could that be part of the Bush team's thinking?)

McCain would have been far better off if the withdrawal was started, so he could say "if only you'd had balls and listened to me America we wouldn't have lost Iraq!" Now when the surge predictable does nothing, it's going to fall in his lap.

 

I think obama-hillary would be an interesting ticket. I think people would much sooner vote for a black person than a woman, so id imagine that hillary would be for VP.

that being said, im kinda eh at both of them, then again, im also not a democrat by any means.

it would be seriously impressive if the dems could lose this one. christ they should be able to put a dead chicken up for the presidency and win in these circumstances.

I think people are making gender/race too much of an issue. Non-white and chick governors aren't uncommon, in all areas of the country.

Even in the South, off the top of my head I can think of a black governor in Virginia and a chick in Texas and currently in Liousiania.

 

Obama will not win no matter what. Its just the way it is.

 

But because he's black? Ditto Hillary because she's a chick?

Like I said, if non-white-male governors aren't out of the usual anymore.

 

President is a much bigger deal. This will never happen much less a Hillary/Obama ticket.
