I know for me it started when I was very young. I think it's something like a car is a mechanical connection to the soul. The lines of a good car can seduce me and direct me to it's heart. A machine with such grace as a Ferrari 250TR, or a Mercedes W196 or a classic Talbot-Lago. & if I'm so lucky as to hear it's heartbeat, it becomes a connection between man & machine and the man must give that heart life, he has a need to hear that life and be able to make that machine come to life at his will. He must be able to push that machine to it's limits and the machine will reward man with speed, grace and beauty. Or something like that.... A girl once told me that my car was a money pit, after I have spent so much on it (fixing, and upgrading). I agreed with her, it is a money pit. But a wonderful money pit and there is nothing I'd rather be spending money on. My love for cars started when i first set eyes on a Countach, from there it was on. I have never been much of a mechanical person, though I am interested. It took me two hours to change my lights because the bolts were seized, in that time I figured out every component of the headlight. I later drew an exploded diagram completely from memory of my headlight. My passion for automotives and art is starting to mix.
