I don't like it

  1. They better be right about the kick ass aerodynamics because it looks hideous... and based on what I've seen so far of how these tuner-porsches fair aginst the factory cayman, I doubt that whatever "improvements" there are warrant this price tag. It looks horrible and probably drives horribly.

  2. i agree, it looks ugly as sin, but 9ff know what they're doing when it comes to aerodynamics. they got a 996 turbo (or was it a gt2?) to go around the nardo test track at 241mph.

but forget about the looks, what about that engine? a 4.1 liter naturally aspirated flat-6 pumping out 420bhp? you can't front on that. and that's only the boxster/cayman flat-6, i can't wait to see what they'll do with the new 997 gt3rs.

  3. The car looks like its gone in a time machine back to the eighties... But that engine must sound fantastic!!! 4.1 litre flat 6 boxer pumping out 420bhp...Fantastic.

  4. Looks Rad in my opinion, Style.

  5. The color and design of the wheels kill it for me. Could we get something silver, or maybe black? With a central wheel mount, you don't need that much metal around the hub either. I guess they did it for aerodynamics, but I would give up a few MPH/KPH from the top speed for some wheels that were more appealing.

  6. sorry for the repititions. Every time I tried to post the screen went blank... yadda yadda yadda... now there are 5 of the same topic. Sorry.

Yes... 240... it's fast. But I like the cayman because it's a giant killer, not because it's a giant. The other tuner caymans seem to make the same compromise: more grunt yet slower laptimes. I'm getting this from here:

I speculate that if this one is faster than a factory cayman, it's probably not enough to warrant the price.
