I have bought GT4

1. No need to remind me of how late I am.
I'll just use this thread to update you on my progress and compare/share stuff. But be patient, the PS2 is actually at my gf's house and playing videogames is not what I go there for.

What liscences should I have before I can compete in decent races and buy good cars with the prize???

Stay kewl!

Whoa, you bought GT4 exactly 51 weeks to the day after it came out. And I'd love to give you pointers/advice so you should definitely keep me informed of your progress. The answer to your license question is simply: Get as many as you easily can.

If you've got the skill to get IB and IA, go for it. But if you're just getting frustrated trying, do them later.

Edit: and here's my official GT4 page --> http://www.maximum-attack.com/gtseries.htm

3. Getting the liscences is so boring.
Since I don't live at my girlfriend's place, I only have B so far. I've also done some dozens of practice races on the arcade mode. Ammong all cars I tried out, the Viper annoyed me the most. I like the M3.

4. Your link is bookmarked.

5. Only 34.9%? I would hae thought you had completed it by now.

6. No, I lost interest because I couldn't play the game with the controller. Their redesign of the Chase Cam ruined the entire game for me.

7. We should compare our tims to see how far from a pro I am.

Since I have no cars yet, I suggest using the racing Opel Astra from the arcade mode and jotting down our fastest laps on given courses and out elapsed time over a ten lap race. to avoid the irritation of traffic, we could simply set the oposition on less difficult modes and not worry a bit about them. And I also suggest racing with standard soft-race tyres and making no tuning or modding.

Are you up with this???

I could post times a week from now, after some decent practice.

8. Yeah, that's sounds like a good idea. Let me go see what I can do...

9. Nah, I haven't played these days.
Damn holidays.

Where do I chann]ge my car oil??

Thanks!

10. GT Auto I think.

Looks like I'm one of the few people who still plays on it

11. I'll try it laterz.

Getting the liscences is a pain.

I hate FWD cars.

12. I hate FWD cars in real life, but I actually like some of them in the game, providing you tune them well.

13. I didn't have time to do any 10-lap races, so here are just some best laps that I did:

Trial Mountain - 1:20.756
Deep Forest - 1:09.798
Apricot Hill - 1:13.895

14. What car was that?
I've been working too much lately.

15. I used the Opel Astra touring car with the Soft tires and no mods/tuning.

16. Hey, Arcanjo, how far are you now? And you should totally post some Photo Mode pictures.
