Americans like to keep their cars for a long time and drive everywhere we can't be like those Europeans and flip cars every other year
it's 36 years old! if you want one with 20k miles on it it'll be double the money. i've seen 996s up for sale with close to or over 200k miles on. that they're still going is surely testament to their robustness.
im sure they're robust and all. but things will go wrong and when things on a high end car goes wrong, you'll end up in a gutter
this is fact. there are only 3 automotive engines made that people have no clue when they actually wear out. one being the original Volkswagen flat 4, the original Porsche flat 6, and the Volvo inline 4. they're endlessly rebuildable. parts are available from a variety of companies and they're not ridiculously expensive. I have a customer with a 78 turbo with nearly a million kilometers on his original engine. its been rebuilt 4 times and he's taken care of it.
I've lost interest in cars. For many years i roared my Ferrari's, Lamborginis, Zondas and Bugatti's in the South of France, but now i yearn for the simpler things in life.
The greatest pleasures of life are sitting in your garden, facing the ocean and listening to the beautiful sound of the ocean.
Time is the greatest Pleasure of life , afford yourself the time to do as you please and you are indeed very rich. Did you enjoy the extremely mild day today ?
Each day is extremely mild when one's villa is in the very South of France facing the ocean. But i had a very hectic day, i was meeting the EU business comitee in Brussels regarding road transport reforms throught Europe. Now im sitting and listening to the sound of ocean.
sitting in the 8*C weather by the ocean at 1am listening to the ocean and spamming SC.net after blasting through those reforms … quite a day
It looks a bit 'off' because its a 40th anniversary special addition. It came with the 911 badge, a beefier engine, and the aero kit. Doesn't matter though, it was already sold
