Is this the fastest stock bodied car?

  1. I already know that this is the fastest street legal car but is it the fastest stock bodied car? I heard that a Firebird Trans-am was the fastest stock bodied car at 314mph. Is this true because it's very hard to believe? I think 250 mph is possible but 300mph just doesn't seem possible even though the Trans-am had 1400hp.<!-- Signature -->

people can get any car going fast. this isnt even a stock car anyway. if you put a big enough motor in it you could get one of those ugly mercedes suvs that looks like a brick to go 300 (granted it would need some downforce to keep it on the ground)

But the body of this car is stock. I said stock bodied, not stock.

Firebird holds the record, do you know how low their drag coefficient is?

So you mean there really was a Trans-am that reached 314 mph? I still think a Corvette or Lamborghini Diablo can beat it on a real race track. I hope Chevy makes a carbody more aerodynamic than the Firebird Trans-am.
