According to my sources, ALL WR cars are the same width, 1770mm. I dare say that that's the minimum allowable under the rules. <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif">

Its kind of like a double-edged sword. You need kids and young people to ensure that anything will continue but you also have to put up with how dumb they can be.

yeah, oh well. Seriously, this is an alright car. I don't really find it appealing, but I can respect it. I'm al for the WRX. Watcha think?

let's all keep Porscheboy out of here!

    Ciao!

Yeah, but some of them actually have some common sense. But most of them don't.<!-- Signature -->

I'm 22 does that qualify me as a kid still? =)

It is indeed a nice car, and MacCrea(sp?) seems to do pretty well with it on the WRC, though he has a tendency to roll it occasionally. I wonder if it is due to the wheel base. Anyone know off hand if this thing is less-wide than the EVO or WRX?

this car is aite... but i dont really like the stock focus... i seen it like 1 year before it came out in usa and canada... i seen it in europe and i didnt like it
anyway this car is doin pretty good in the world rally championship... i respect it for that...

I don't think it has much to do with the car, but more to do with McRea (damn, I don't think I can spell it either). He has a repuation of beating the crap out of the cars he drives.

  12. Re: Kind of cool we can hold a Nice conversation on cars

these cars don't have the same power or size, but they have restrictions in how small and how much power they could have.
i like this car too, and to bad mcrea goes crazy sometimes, but hey eny car that can get rolled over and still put of the 5th fastest time i will respect it.
ford is also working on a car for next year that will be much better than this on tarmac so this year it might be peujuet year but next year ford should have much better chance.
and i hope that romur about mcrea living isn't true because thats the only driver they have with chance of championship.

  13. Re: Kind of cool we can hold a Nice conversation on cars

i read an article about a SVT focus, i realy dont like the idea of a supercharger on something stock but it is a fast little guy

  14. Re: Kind of cool we can hold a Nice conversation on cars

you mean turbo charger. i don't mind a 4banger with a turbo, heck its the only way to have fast econo car.

  15. Re: Kind of cool we can hold a Nice conversation on cars

im talking about an actually produced SVT focus with an eaton supercharger just like the lightning and the mustang

  16. Re: Kind of cool we can hold a Nice conversation on cars

Well actually, the only reason why this car turns over is McRae (this is how it should be spelled). He's a good driver, but he often pushes to far, trying to save a lil' time in every corner. The Focus WRC is quite amazing, considering the huge ammount of front downforce this thing manage to get.

The WRC cars have to respect and follow size restrictions, as well as HP & torque (c.f. Group B) + with a wheelbase around this, they get maximum weight distribution efficiency.

Overall, this car is great, + it's american nature gives it torque at lower-end (compared to the Peugeot 206 for an example). I still think the best WRC car out there is the Impreza WRC, except for the new 2002 one, something must be wrong, they keep over-heating at every single event (poor makinen, he's a real good driver).

    n-e-ways, my two-cents.

but the eaton wouldnt help...mustang and lighting is large displacement..wont have such of a effect on the focus compared to the stang and lighting<!-- Signature -->
