Lamborghini An Enthusiasts Car? I Think Not.
    By: Walter Waltz

As the headline states, Lamborghini is definitely not an enthusiasts car. A tool of marketing genius in the past decade? Yes. A playboy's ultimate accessory? Yes. A rap moguls car? Definitely.

But to actually call Lamborghini's something an automotive enthusiast would enjoy is utterly absurd. That would be like saying Gigli is something any movie buff would have in their collection. But wait Walter, it just looks so damn good! And with that I have to agree with you, but it stops there. If you look at Lamborghini's history it starts off in the fields of Italy when a young man known as Ferruccio Lamborghini complained about his Ferrari's clutch and Enzo told him to stick to driving tractors instead. And off he went to develop his own car in spite of Enzo (which Ford would also later do..). Since then Lamborghini has always tried to outdo Ferrari with about as success as you marrying Pamela Anderson. Sure she may be very attractive, but after a couple of weeks youÂ’ll be back in Vegas with divorce papers. While I won't go into any of Lamborghini's failures as a company, those do exist too. The reason why Ferrari's are enthusiastÂ’s cars while Lamborghini's are not isn't just because they have better handling, better brakes, better acceleration, but of one key element: passion. When you sit behind the wheel of a Gallardo you think to yourself, "damn, I must look good." When you sit behind the wheel of an F430 you have images of Michael Schumacher winning Formula One championships year after year, the names Ascari, Hill, Ickx, Lauda, and Fangio come to mind. Your heart begins to race, sweat begins to come out, and you all of the sudden feel as if though you are a part of something bigger. The best you can get with a Lamborghini is Balboni doing circles around Sant'Agata Bolognese.

Even today Lamborghini tries to out do Ferrari at their own game, but can't come close. The recently released Reventon which is a facelift constructed with spare parts from George Lucas' home to capture the market of the Enzo buyer, but falls short. The Superleggera, which Lamborghini came out with to try to emulate the success of the Challenege Stradale falls short. Even Evo magazine recently said the Lamborghini may be called the Superleggera, but the F430 Scuderia feels it. Next time you get the opportunity to drive one of these machines, seize it, and let me know what you think. Most likely at the end of the day you will realize that poster of a Lamborghini you had when you were a kid is left best hanging above your childhood bed.

  4. i don't need to say anything, my nickname-avatar says enough of what i think

  5. I'd say the original 3500GT and the Miura are the only true enthusiast cars Lambo has made.

  6. and what you think, is wrong. He is right, Lambo has no passion, they are for rich posers only.

  7. That argument can be made about Ferrari, Mercedes, Bentley, Maserat etc etc

  8. the best part:

"When you sit behind the wheel of a Gallardo you think to yourself, "damn, I must look good." When you sit behind the wheel of an F430 you have images of Michael Schumacher winning Formula One championships year after year, the names Ascari, Hill, Ickx, Lauda, and Fangio come to mind. Your heart begins to race, sweat begins to come out, and you all of the sudden feel as if though you are a part of something bigger"

and then schumi's fingers begin to touch your nutsack with great passion.

  9. I agree. Although Id same for Ferrari.

  10. LOL, got a good laugh from Lambornima's post

  11. Actaully I change my mind about Lambo. I still want a Countach and I dont care if I were the alst person on earth and no one saw me in it.

  12. wrong. Mercedes, Bentley and Masterati at least have some history worth discussing about them. So what if lambos look good.

  13. lol you must be some kinda of spastic, autistic, you are writing to me in every post i do, you are becoming ossessive, try with different people, this forum has a lot of users, many are even more friendly than me, maybe someone is gay and you'll find something to do

  14. do you even know english? Do you know what autistic means?

your so easy to tear apart, stop posting if you dont like it.

  15. yeah i know english but not very well coz it's my third language, your posts still doesnt have point.

  16. Like 90% of the rich people in Monaco or wherever give a shit about "rich history" or "racing heritage". Most high end care are bought to be seen in and not to hit apexes with total precision.

  17. maybe to you. so STFU..

  18. ya and they are all a bunch of douche bags, whats your point?

say something that is not so obvious.

  19. no but seriously, 3 languages, thats pretty cool. Whats the other one?

  20. I'm italian, but i know spanish too, ask pandabeat. SORRY IF I'M NOT PERFECT AS YOU <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>

  21. i only wish I was perfect, I only know 2, french and english.. trying to learn german, but not coming along well haha.. i can understand spanish!

  22. well now that i know this i'll tell you something, i don't care.

  23. so you think all those Ferrari owners are enthusiasts who care about the car's performance and racing heritage?

I think you have FNAF syndrome.

let me give you a reality check. 95% of Lambo and Ferrari and Porsche owners buy the cars to show off. they couldnt care less how fast it laps the Nring or whatever.

the other 5% can be found online. props to the 5%, but you are an idiot if you are gonna deny that the other 95 doesnt exist.
