  2. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

"said (at the time) the 800tt was the fastest production car."
what time was this, hasn't the Mclaren been the Fastest Production car for the last 5 yrs...?

  3. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

    June 2001 issue of MotorTrend.

  4. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

ok...but the McLaren was the fastest production car then wasn't it...?

  5. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

Yes, Technically after the 800tt came out and on street tires did 60 in 3.2 and 1/4mile in 10.71 it should be the fastest (or quickest) production car.
Considering Hennessey produces the Venom vipers, they're considered production cars (and why MT said, fastest production car)

But because hennessey is also a tuner shop, modifying cars, they're not considered Production cars.

  6. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

    fair enough...

  7. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

best 140kish car for sure Venom 1000TT would own all these cars on the track

  8. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

    theres always a bigger fish!

  9. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

The Viking SRX-7 would own the 1000TT on a track and thats around £50,000. I would prefer the 1000TT but the SRX-7 woudld kill this and the 1000TT in 1/4 mile and circuit races.

  10. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

don't forget that the Viking SRX-7 weighs a lot less...
'cause its got next-to-no metal on it!

  11. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

If its not on production then there wouldnt be a price tag on it now would there.

  12. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

A car with out a price tag...
does that mean it's for free...?

  13. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

The Speed 12 thatr was sold was only £155,000 and that alot more powerful than this, probably even more than the 1000TT.

  14. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

ummmm its the corvette lingenfelter 427TT its faster than this

  15. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

how much exactly is £155,000 in Australia...?
and who is this person with this Speed 12...
is he like some-one important or just some-one with a pocket full of money...?

  16. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

I don't know who the guy that owns it is but the Speed 12 was advertised online for £155,000 and it was sold quite a while ago. I'll find the link to the ad and post it.

  17. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

    ok...

    Question...
why hav i noticed that in most of the threads now we're all talkin' about the TVR Spped 12...?

  18. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

Cos I've joined in. Ha I'm a BIG TVR fan. We should get back to the 800tt though I guess.

  19. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

    Maybe because i left.

  20. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

    well now thta your back...
    make it all right again...
i've seen what happens in these forums...
first u start talking about a different car (eg. the TVR Speed 12)...
the u stop talking about cars altogether (eg. Weather, Music)...
then peoples minds go crazy and u start talking crazy like (eg. feeding bananas to koalas)...
then when u try to start talking about the car again...
u don't know what car ur talkin' about...
u forget what the car does, what it looks like, who makes it...
and then people stop goin' there...except for a few...
my proof lies in the Toyota AB-Flug Supra Forum...

so if there's a button u push to make it betta...pls do it before its to late...

That's a strange summary of what happened while i was gone. I thought the forum would die, but that's close enough. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

Mind you this topic is to name a front engined car tunder 160k thats better so you need to mention other cars.

  23. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

    yeah...it hasn't died...
    but pretty damn close...

  24. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

oh u just showed them whos boss. im sure the people at dodge are shaking in their boots cuz of this post.

  25. Re: Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this

well it depends on what the person who started this thread meant - "Name 1 front engine car 160k of under that could beat this" obviously the 650r, 700, 800tt, 1000tt or any other upgraded viper isnt like that from the factory (so you cant say comepare the viper 800tt or any other upgraded viper to a factory stock car because the viper 800tt itself doesnt come from the factory with the 800tt upgrade a custom shop does that not the factory) to get the engine upgrade done a custom shop could either by the car for you and upgrade it to any specs you want or you buy the car yourself and take it to a custom shop. Now that that is out of the way it is possible to get a car for less then 160,000$ and it will beat the viper800tt lets see there is countless supras, countless, skylines, countless silvias, countless altezzas (is300), and countless other cars you can get for cheap and spend less then $60,000 and kick the crap out of a viper. Ill even give an example - i can go out right now and get a lexus sc300 for $3,150 which has the inline 6 same as the supra motor just not a turbo i can spend another $3,000 at a tuner shop to get a supra motor (its the twin turbo one stock from the factory comes from the tuner shop with ecu, trans, engine everything nedded to transplant into a sc300) another $6,000 put into the car beause the supra twim turbo motor is pretty stout from the factory and the supra 3jzgte motor can handle well over 800bhp if built right. All together so far $3,150 + $3,000 + $6,000 = $12,150 for a car that handles perfect and can handle upwards of 1500bhp now if i am wrong in my math (which i am not) $12,150 is alot better then the say $43,500 for a 96 viper (if it was a used viper) and then the 800tt upgrade which im sure is around 40-$45,000 which equals $88,500.00 Now i dunno about anyone else but supras (and lexuses) handle damn good and vipers from the factory dont handle too well and wen you add more power to a car that handles like crap itll handle even worse. Keep in mind new vipers are going for $72,000 plus add say $45,000 to that for the 800tt engine package and that is $117,000. I dont know about anybody else but i would rather take the car that has been around for longer then a viper has and has won countless races in the sgtc and also it only costs $12,150 versus $88,500 ot $117,000 for a viper.
