  4. can't access at work... copypasta plz

  5. There's 99 comments, plenty of them are complete shit... I'll post some good examples. For me the most confusing part is multiple people thinking it sounds terrible.

    IBx1 (10/20/09 08:38 PM)

The car is beyond hideous, and when you can buy almost 4 ZR1's to destroy this toyota 4 times over, why would anyone in their right, or wrong, mind buy one?

Plus it sounds like dog ***

    dacronic1 (10/21/09 01:52 AM)

the last few sentences say it best. it beter be able to keep up with the GT-R. that thing costs a quarter of what the LFA costs and would likely spank it. if it doenst then this is a HUGE waist of money. for the buyer as well as toyota.

    true_enthusiast (10/21/09 04:34 AM)

Sounds like crap, looks like crap, goes too slow, and costs too much.

    Great job Toyota... :\

    Down_With_CAFE (10/21/09 06:15 AM)

You know what i just realized? The Camaro Z/28 with 556 HP might actually spank this car. It all depends how much the Camaro weighs. If it can't beat it, theres always the ZR1. BTW supercars don't have to be extremely stiff. just look at at Ferrari's handling. I like the styling at the fron but the back end of it is awkward. Ferrari baets this underachiever easily. They will barely find 500 customers in my opinion. Theres a reason why people buy a Fearrari

    JustinGPGT (10/21/09 06:41 AM)

I would never, EVER pay that much money for a Toyota, the GT-R is even a stretch.

Another playstation on the road, great.

It does look good though, aside from the exhaust.

    SuperCJ427 (10/21/09 10:02 AM)

Its one ugly car. Seems like they got bits and pieces from Benz, Nissan and Honda. You got to have *** in the head to buy one of these ridiculous looking cars. Whats engineering in it when its sounds stupid, handles nervy at this price. Toyota...go back to your drawing boards. A simple sub 80K GT-R will rip it open on any track. Toyota you choose please. Halo...yes my ass. It does not even look like a supercar. Oh yeah...rear radiators design for what? Haha. What an engineering joke !!!

    jgf1031 (10/21/09 12:14 PM)

not worth the buy AT ALL. 552 horsepower for 400k???? what are they thinking??? its more expensive than most supercars but slower than all of them. thats 4 ZR-1s...a car that is one fourth the price and even faster. Dont see the point.

    05lgt1980 (10/21/09 03:01 PM)

lexus lfa=fail wow even at 350k its wayyy over priced! I can name a few sub 100k cars that will match or beat this ugly toyota and look better doing so! toyota tried wayyy to hard and came up with a ugly semi slow over priced car. I would liked to have a seen a new sub 100k supra over this sorry toyota you took a shoot and air balled!

    SubsandDubs (10/21/09 04:35 PM)

400k and that exhaust sound? Weird logic behind this.

    Smilemani (10/22/09 05:31 PM)

Am I the only one that thinks it sound horrible?

    derk702 (10/23/09 10:14 AM)

Those Toyota heads are smoking crack! If they are seriously trying to sell this car at 400k, especially when compared to Nissans halo car the GT-R, Which (possibly)is a better car at less than 1/4 the cost.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------
    Ugh....

  6. oh god#

they all obviously think that expensive = should sound like a big block

  7. Yeah, also it's definitely slower than any other competing supercars, let's not wait for any instrumented tests or lap times. Obviously a car with 560hp and a weight of 3200lbs will be slow by anyone's standards.

  8. Jesus christ, I think my brain just exploded.

  9. I wish I had a waist of money

    i think i just died

  11. It's a real japanese supercar.. I never thought I'd be so annoyed by that. I mean, I really like it, but I find myself thinking because it's Japanese, I can attain it one day and I simply never ever will. However, I can't seem to put it on the kind of pedistool I could a ferrari or Lambo. But at 300,000 dollars, lambos are more more realistic.

I'll hold judgment to see how it performs, but as it stands right now, I think I'd rather have a Lambof or that kinda of money.

  12. and yatta yatta about it being 500 units it's not too much. they're probably gonna make more than that. keep in mind that Ford made 3000 GT's and it's seen depreciation. I think if you're selling point is gonna be exclusivity, you gotta make less than 1000, maybe even less than 500.

But most of all, there's gonna be enough of this car all over the internet and car shows all that exclusivity you're paying for I doubt is going to make you feel like you've got a car there are about as many Enzos of. except Lexus is much more likely to sell them to boobs.

  13. New Camaro gets out handled by the new Mustang.

  14. this car seriously looks bland as hell.

  15. Um.. You're in the wrong account..

  16. I still think the LF-A looks better than the MP4-12C.

  17. Ya I agree. The MP4-whatever looks generic and boring, at least the Lexus design has "personality"

  18. Not according to innoteach.

  19.
  20. This was on Top Gear last night... bloody impressive car! Shame about the £340K GBP price tag!

Here is the link for that for anyone else:

I actually do some work for Lexus Magazine at the moment, and they have some good features and info for the car too including a vehicle builder and video review by Justin Bell. Here is a link to the video review:

Came in here just to post the TG feature - after that I just fell in love with the car! All those quote that Tipo got from the other forum - are they #$%#ing deaf?! That sound is just beyond awesome.

    PS The vid itself was a masterpiece <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  24. -1 for wet track.

  25. Also not only did it beat the lambo by 3 odd secs but it didnt have 4WD like the lambo. Impressive indeed.

I hope they retest on a drier day but they havent bothered with any previous wet cars.
