Good point actually. Even when the new MSB comes out I still have my eyes on the Continental. indeed, Bentleys have always been status cars, they were Rolls' sporty division, and just like RR's, Bentleys were used as a mean to show the world you have a fortune...
but now, if the MSB is introduced, then Bentley will loose a bit of its magic I guess.

Its funny how luxury car automakers are moving in such different positions, think about it, you have Bentley trying to make a more affordable, entry-level like car, and then you have M-B making a car to compete against RR and Bentley (which were the only super-luxury cars with a price tag above the $200 grand mark) and of course, if VW expands the Bugatti line, they are perhaps going to make a RR beater sometime...

2. Re: New look

Rappers should buy what ever they want. It would be cool however if they whole hartedly loved the car. (Not saying they don't! I just wish I knew that they did)

10. Re: New look

Maybe... To beat Bentley you must beat ultimate customer service. Thats 50% of owning one. Then the build has to be comparable. If you can do this, then yes some serious compatition.

11. Re: New look

I personally can not decide my oppinion of the up-coming MSB. Bentley has always been a hallowed vehicle, which only the super rich could afford. I'm almost a purest, thinking that that's the way it should stay. Bently is the loftiest of status symbols. I almost think it should remain that if you own one, you park it in a 20 car garage next to your classic Ferrari 250 GTO and 1929 V16 Cadillac, behind your $18 million home. The unattainableness of their cars is what the company was built on. I'm just affraid that the MSB will change that, at least in the eyes of many current buyers.

13. Re: New look

They soon will- called the MSB (Mid Sized Bentley), it will become a platform to base both a sedan, coupe, and convertible on. Hence the name, it will be smaller than today's Bentleys, allowing for a lower price with the same luxury, increasing sales for Bentley by opening it to new types of people buying it.(today there are only two types buying it: Rappers and Stodgy Rich People)
