1. Amen,to that oldraven,if I could afford M3, I would be driving one,but in the mean time I'll be driving my Type-S with the big ass pipe that makes all kinds of weird lawnmower noises.I will be adding a body kit that will make it more noticable and hopefully a supercharger. As for you mysuperbmw,I personally think your lying.

2. Ok, this is nuts!! There is no way that cast iron block could handle those horses! No offense, I have to see to beleive. If its true, congrats. And to the dude with the McLaren-if what you are saying is true, its damn impressive, and the reasons the cops don't do anything is because THEY KNOW THEY CANT CATCH YOU EVEN IF THEY CALLED IN A CHOPPER UNIT. Of course, Id like to see how far you would get before my Apache either a) caught up with you, or b) took you out with a Hellfire missle. I think thats the only way I could stop you.....

What's with everyone ignoring the cilynder configurations on this site. nothing against Ranj, a lot of people are doing this. not all 6's are v6's. not the good ones at least. There are i4's, v4's, i5's, i6's, v6's, i8's, v8's, v10's, v12's, w12's, w16's, and tonnes more. they all mean something. check out the sherman tanks. they had some funky configs. Point is, they acctually mean something, as I'm sure you all know. So try to keep an eye on the i's, v's, & w's. This is how people get miss-informed, and make fools of themselves. gotta love the cars man.

Are you implying a cast iron block is weaker than an aluminum block? I hope not. Cast iron blocks are quite a bit stronger than their cast aluminum counterparts. Although they are quite a bit heavier too.

I think someone else basically said that the Civic guys basically got the aftermarket started. If I read that wrong, I'm sorry. Anyhoo, Civics weren't around when the IMPORT tuner scene started. IMPORT tuning really got going in the '60s with the old air-cooled VW engines. If you meant aftermarket in general, well, guys have been hot rodding cars for many, many years now. Saying the Civics started it is bogus.

One more thing.... maybe. I have to sort of agree with some of the other folks on the forum about the loud Japanese import aftermarket exhausts. It seems around here that all some of these guys do is put a loud exhaust on a Civic DX and get some ugly body kit and think that they are fast. Sorry kids, an exhaust on a 115-hp engine isn't gonna do much for ya. Then those body kits just add weight and drag, nullifying the (VERY) slight power gain from the exhaust. I respect the guys who really try to make those Civics perform, but all those posers bother me. I'm still a hardcore VW/Audi and Porsche nut though.

5. As for all the comments about there being no way that a 700 HP car can do that sort of time with the wight of an M3 (convertable, even heavier) your right. But the 700 + hp dyno wasn't with NOS, plus, i did drop alot of weight out of the car. Most of the body was replaced with Carbon Fiber, but it still looked stock. As for the disbelivers, that's fine. I encourage you to visit my website that will be opening in a few weeks. My company Toronto Supercars will be opining, and we have already modified 10 cars, all of which will be on the site, with pics, and alot more detail than this past posting. As for the M3 Pics, the car sold recently to a private buyer in Toronto for $300, 000, and unless he brings it back to out HD, i will not be able to get pictures, but on the site in a few weeks there will be a Supercharged Z06, a twin turbo GT3, a new supercharged M3, however, we started with an M5 engine, as well as a few slower but larger cars, a Twin Turbo BMW X5 4.6 IS, Twin Turbo S500 Mercedes. The site adress will be posted here within the next 2-3 weeks, but it is curently under construction. The purpose of the site will be for the sale of any of the previous cars, so if you know someone who this would interest, let them know once you have the adress. I hope the new cars pictuers and details will make belivers of you about the original Toronto Supercars project, the Supercharged M3.

6. After the Supercharge M3 is gonna be ur QuarTURBO McLaren F1 then triple NOS Porsche GT-1, after that, TurboCharge CLK-GTR, after 2 years later will be ur NOS+Turbo+SC Ferrari F60 eh?

7. with the bloody money it costs to by an M3 and then do it up, i could get a jap car and flog the shitoutta ure M3 AND, what u have said is bullshit neways, n hey don't bullshit cause yre not cool.
n jap isn't crap but all Hondas are!
later
take a point up with me? i'll verify my position.

I must not have said it the way I meant it. I didn't say the civics started the scene, not by any means. Car guys were roddin' their pony cars years before the civics were being modded. What I do mean is that cars LIKE the civic, non performance people movers, have created a huge boom in the aftermarket world, due to the fact that they are cheap, plentiful, and simple in design. The industry as it stands today is much bigger than in the days of the Bug rodders, and I believe that imports have made this industry as big as it is today.

Bottom line. The cars belong to the owners. If they feel like puting some extra cash into making their plain janes a little more unique and fun to drive, I think they've got the idea. So you know, I'm agreeing with you. Just clearing up an foggy comment made by yours truly.

9. OK, im probily way off the subject here, but I am a proud owner of a civic. and i do the exact oppisite of what other civic owners do. so far i have a super charger spitting out 220 hp, and i think that it is enough to haul around town quickly, but now i have leather inteior and shocks that my friend recommended me getting and it feels like a lexus, all comfortable too. but as the exhaust goes, no lawnmower here.if im going to get a few extra hp outta my car, im ging to get a new intercooler, but thats just me. peace

okay, its easy to get BMWs pumping out high hp if your willing to spend the $$$. www.bavariacars.com.au theres a turboed E36 M3 SMG with mild boost on the turbo (14psi) the cars used for track work and tarmac rallies. It makes 500+hp in detuned form for road use each day.

11. Getting a 200% power boost out of a supercharger without any fuel upgrades is impossible... .... stop talking your shit and learn how cars really work.... thanks.

also having a custom fabricated carbon fiber monocouqe would cost you around 100 grand....

What engine are you running on your supercharger? And intercoolers dont apply for superchargers...aftercoolers do...

Is your supercharged Civic an Si? My friend had a supercharged Si, and it was a hoot to drive. It also had around 220 hp with the Jackson Racing supercharger and aftermarket headers, exhaust, etc. It's too bad he just bought a 97 Supra twin-turbo... I was going to race against his Civic this summer at the "local" dragstrip after I modify my 1.8T Beetle.... I'm not racing the Supra.

16. Sure what part of town do you live in? With a supped up BMW you would see more Merc. and other LUXURY cars than civics with the big exhausts.

21. yah and i think twin turbo gtr is lying about his mclaren too....and obviously ne one would take a M3 over a civic! but the thing is the ppl who soup up the civics and $hit are kids like me who dont have friggin 65k$ to spend on a car and another 55k$ to soup it up!

22. thats true a lot of people on this site talk about having like 20 g to through into modifying a car...

makes you wonder what their occupation is, wouldn't mind getting into a simular line of work.
