  1. New AV Falcon

New AV falcons gonna kick everybodys arse fullstop the engines are gonna be kicking arse heaps of other new things holdens sucking arse woohoo!

  2. The the Ba or Barra will be great car, but the holden fans i know, talk about how their cars are all fsater then the fords. but according to wheels magazine this is not the case with acceleration. The quickest ford falcon version (the XR8) is is 0 - 100km/h in 6.6 secs (0 - 60 mph) and the quickest commodore is the statesman with 0 - 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. but the monaro is 0 - 100 km/h in 6.9 secs. sure these times are only for acceleration, and holden wins with top speed, but the holden people are still in disbelief that ford have made fast cars. However the one holden fans can be proud of is the HSV SV300 with a 0 - 100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds (same as the HSV GTS coupe.)
But holden fans I talk to still believe that fords are powerless and can't make a challenge for hlden in speed and acceleration.
The tickford TE50 got a time of 6.0 seconds for the 0 - 100 km/h ford australias best market acceleration time.

My point is the holden people don't want to know of how fords are performing. maybe when the BA or Barra comes out we can see just how fast it is. But will the holden fans still believe that the fords are slow or whatever excuse they come up with next. Because ford australia are in trouble with finding buyers, so what do u guys think abuot the situation?

The SS has done a 0-100 with a best of 5.97 according to Motor Magazine. Motor has also recorded the GTS Coupe doing 0-100 in 5.7 seconds. The TE50 has also managed a 5.97 0-100 time. <!-- Signature -->

  6. Exactly....

Any car that has twin turbos is gonna beat a standard V8 engine you moron.

    Strictly speaking, the SV300 isn't a Holden, its a HSV. Same with TE50 - Tickford<!-- Signature -->

  8. Yeah but that wouldnt be stock now would it.

Yes ok my times are wrong, but to the same point I wasn't comparing HSVs and Tickfords, but yes the SV300 is a great aussie car

  10. Its about time the Falcon got some new engines to regain Ford's top position in the best Aussie built sedans.

  11. Won't be called AV, so lets just stick with the codename BARRA for the moment<IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif">. Yes they will have new egnines, an all new V8 and a twin cam, 24 valve IL6 with Turbo on higher up models. <!-- Signature -->

Ok, why don't we wait till ford brign out their new GT falcon, and see how that goes stock if it's anything like their originals it should be one of the greatest cars made by Australia to be produced, and then also who knows what holden or HSV will come up with, they might get a stock car into their stock line up that beats the old supra.

  14. But that would be much newer nad much more exspensive.<!-- Signature -->

Go look at the old GT Falcons, and see how your supra compares to them.... And y do u bother to bag this car out anyways. do u have nothin betta to do?

  16. The XR6 is going to be a 230KW TURBO

  17. Sorry, that's an estimated Value

  18. Yeah 210-240 seems to be a common prediction.

  19. 230kW is now more certain then ever, but suposebly, ford are not going to get a 300+kW engine released. To do sothey woudl have to pay the goverment lots of money. Which is what Holden have to do to get their cars out. Seeing as ford have already spent half a billion dollars on making the BA, i doubt they'd want to fork otu too much more, it now seems like there big grunter will be under 300kW, but they still reckon it might be over 300. Wheels says 290kW +

  20. 240kW 450Nm XR6 Turbo

  21. Awesome innit??

Can't wait to see the GT!! I need proper pics now!!

  22. yeah well i just found out this news... XR6 182kW 380Nm, XR6T 240kW 450Nm... they are goign to seel 2 models, and the XR6 is one of the cheapest falcons out of the new range, but the XR6T is improved in performace as well as power.

  23. There us going to be three new GTs now.
The GT, The GT-P, And the GT pursuit which is a ute.

  24. The XR6T has claimed 0 - 100km/h in less than 6.5 seconds. I wouldn't be surpriesd if it was down to 5.2 seconds.

A little fact supposebly Ford engineers said that they were struggling with 220kW for the Garrett GT35 turbo, and when they switche dto the GT40 turbo, they said they got up to 270kW.. If this is so I doubt they'd release it that powerful, because then why would you pull out a more powerful 6 cylinder version than your V8 (and aussie loved) engine?

  25. Ford and Holden have released 6cyl's that are more powerful than their own V8's before.
