  1. Hey shut up man!! Paddle shifters!! only losers like you and your mom use that $#!%! So why don't you consider getting a life before say stupid sh*t like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. when your automatics are as nice as mercedes are, why bother with manuals? they have a policy of not fitting manual transmissions to cars with more than 225 hp. if a manual transmission is a must, go buy a bimmer.<!-- Signature -->

  3. Nicest Mercedes droptop!

This is without a doubt, the best mercedes drop top ever. V8 engine, 476hp! The only down part is the auto transmission. They gotta make a 6 speed manual transmisson that can handle the HP and tourqe. I own a Mercedes C230 (1999) and that is the nicest ride. I can't imagine how great this SL55 must be

  4. Actaully I think it will have a paddle shifter. Thats a clutchless manual. So all the ones that hate automatic trannies can also enjoy this car. <IMG SRC="http://www.supercarforums.com/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"><!-- Signature -->

  5. After I've done some researches.
I discovered why AMG doesn't give the new AMG Kompressors a manuel transmissions. If the Engine RPM suddenly rises rapidly, the belt (engine or the kompressor? a bit unclear) will snap.

  6. Nipman007 is an idiot. If stick shift is so friggin great, they would all use them in F1 races instead of push-button and paddle shifters. In addition, most people just don't shift fast or perfectly enough to outpace an automatic car with the same specs (short of Schumacher of course). And I seriously doubt you are on the same level as Schumacher with your.. ah hem.. C230. *LOL*

Thus, don't talk out of your ass and go home and get yourself a real car. *LOL*

P.S. Damn, last time I check, I thought C-classes are for chicks.

  7. Oh..Holydude..please dont' make fun of the C230.
I know it's not one of those super expensive, luxurious cars, but it's actually a pretty nice car. I admit Nipman007 is an idiot since all he thinks is to put a 6speed manuel in the car. The AMG or the Mercedes dudes want people to have a smooth and comfortable ride. Also, as I have said in the previous msg, they don't want those "no skill" people to screw up their engines.

I see you must be mentally ill, because you can't control yourself when you hear the word paddle shifter. Who the **** are you anyway? Why do you start personal insults when I just correct your sayings? The SL55 has a paddle shifter and that makes me a loser? C'mon you naiive child, get out of this forum.

Just for your information, if a manual transmission is for you the only thing that makes driving enjoyable, and you think it isn't real driving if the car hasn't a manual transmission, then you could just by a clutch and a stick shift and istall them into your armchair in the living room. Then you could play around with your clutch and stick shift at home and you'd had all the fun you can have in driving. Maybe you could stick them up your ass also.

And just for the info, F1 cars use paddle shifters. And automatic transmissions are way faster than ANY manual, because they can shift quicker than a human hand. Paddle shifters and automatic transmissions are technically way above the manual. So go wanck somewhere else.

Oh and BTW, Michael Schumacher prefers automatic transmissions in his cars and he's said to be one of the worlds most talented drivers. I bet he's no loser behind the wheel.<!-- Signature -->

  10. This car is beautiful but...

This car is beautiful but... WHATS WITH THE RIMS?!? OMG they GOTTA PUT SOME AMG MONOBLOCK RIMS ON THERE MAYBE some 19's Oh that would be final. Then this car would receive a 10 from me. Those rims look kinda like lowrider wires but bigger... it gets an 8 from me... (yes the rims take 2 points off)

Superchargers are driven from the output drive shaft from the engine, usually connected by a belt. If the revs get too high, the driveshaft will obviously been spinning very fast, the belt could probably slip, or snap. If it snaps and the supercharger stopps spinning, no air is going to get into the engine and it'll stall, and won't start up again.

This is why Turbo chargers are prefered in higher reving engines. Notice how CART cars are turbo charged, not supercharged?

Im suprised Merc is sticking with superchargers really.
