  1. SSR=SHIT!

    THE LAST GOOD BYE !
    IT CANT BE REAL !
SSR LOOKS LIKE A CORSA/S-10 FUSION HIAC !
    WHATS A SHIT!
only the firebird, the camaro must be called
    a SUPERCAR!

  2. ur right this is the best time for it to end (even though it shouldn't end at all) a 6 speed manual at 325 horses with 19/28 mpg. i think its a great idea to buy it<!-- Signature -->

  3. Ending this car (and it's sister F-car the Firebird) is one of the saddest things GM has done in years. When they finally perfect a design, and have a car that runs circles around the competition (Ford Mustang and all those Japanese wannabe "sports" coupes) they drop it like was just an ordinary car.

Even though the first model-year Camaro was '67, more than a decade after the Corvette, I think this car has just as much of a cult following. This car was and in some ways still is an American icon, one of the good 'ol muscle cars of times past. This car has a history, a long and bumpy one; but definately a good one.

I can only hope that someday we see the return of the Camaro, just as we did with a lot of other cars that were scrapped by automakers only to return a few years later.

I must say though, that this is not the way the Camaro should be going out. I think that GM should have made an optional LS6 powerplant available to the SS trims to honor such past models as the ZL-1, SS 396, the Yenko and COPO models. Unfortunately, I don't run General Motors and so therefore this is what we are left with.. a 2000 model SS with some fancy checkered flag stripes and chromed wheels.

    ..Goodbye old friend

  4. Tes its a shame that the Camaro and Firebird nameplate are going to be shelved after this 35 wonderful years.

But, not everything is lost, there are rumors that a new Camar Coupe is coming for 2005
so i guess that history is about to repeat itself...
    i mean
when Ford dropped the T-bird they did it because the market wasnt there, but then they started to developa unique car, that's the 2002 T-bird, and now the Camaro seems to be going that way because Chevy is promising a heritage-inspired car for the next gen Camaro

  5. Re: So this is good bye.....for now

They are coming back out with a Camaro/Firebird in 2004, I have read about it in magazines, and the new design looks disgusting, even worse, GM is trying to replace it with the SSR which is a questionalbe "automoblie", i'm not sure wether to call it a truck or something ugly

  6. it really sux that the firebird and camaro are goin away. the 35th is a great car. ive had my eye on this car and the firebird for a while. i think it should have 340hp but it all good. i hope i can find this and have it for my own

  7. Why do they have 2 take them from the market.GM is acting like a bunch of @$$HOLES taking them.

  8. dont worry, theyll come back
there will probably be models of both cars for 40th, 45th, 50th anniversaries.
i dont think these cars can ever actually fade out of existance.

uhhm yeah well the SSR is cool because its something different to everything that's out there right now... its like getting the best of a performance pickup and a roadster... and its got a hard top! tell me which other american car has one...

the next Camaro is going to look more properly like the original, with a coupe-esque shape, and from what iI've seen in the pics on magazines, it looks ok, its got a lot of heritage-inspired design, much like the T-bird, the PT-Cruiser and the SSR<!-- Signature -->

yeah I like the way GM is reestructuring its divisions...
its giving Chevy and Cadillac a lot of reasons to boost their sales and be world leaders again.<!-- Signature -->

  15. Eveyone don't worry. Its only taking a break. It will be back in 2005, 2006,or 2007. One of those years at least. Also its going to be a lot stronger and its going to look better to. But still its sad to hear its going away for a bit. Mustangs beware your luck will run out when the new camaro roars back up!!!!!<!-- Signature -->

  16. yeah
well, maybe this is bad news for Ford fans, because the perennial rival to its Pony car is being dropped for a while, leaving the Mustang all alone...<!-- Signature -->

  17. It really does suck that GM is ending the F-Bodys they truly are great cars. If they are bringing them back though you have to wonder what they'll be brought back as, right now i'm fearing they'll bring them back all pussified with FWD and V-6, look at the Monte Carlo and the Impala. To be honest i think i'd rather see the Firebird and Camaro die then have their memory and tradition shamed the way Monte Carlo and Impala have.

  18. Ok, for the last time, THEY CAMARO AND FIREBIRD ARE NOT GOING AWAY, THEY WILL BE BACK IN 2004!!!!!!

  21. They will be back better than ever. Im guessin their gonna try to give pussy stangs a chance to compete with the Camaro's. They should at least have given the Camaro at least a bigger engine with a lot more hp. This truly is a sad year for f-body fans. But i guess they must have big plans for them on their come back.<!-- Signature -->

  22. Hey you people sucky sucky the biggy oney i wish all you people would come over to my side and get on the bus and join the newest car club of huntsville alabama i like to call it the "1983 Ford Full Size" club for short (its short for the "1983 Ford Full Size Van Club The "FFSVC")i no you guys are thinking this has to be a joke but hey News Flash i'm for real i no your also thinking who all is in this and maybe you no some one with a "Full Sizer" parked in the drive way for instance maybe that family down the street are they in the FFSVC? or should you ask them maybe they wanna keep it to themselves i mean you guys are lucky i started this in 1979 when i was 16 when i told papa i wanted a brand new 79'Chevy Full size van (by the way thats also the day he put my crippled ass in this God forsaken wheel chair i could kill that dead beat's ass if i saw him right now i'd probly....) anyways you might be wonderin' if i have a 83' how did i start it in 79' well im a firm believer that you don't have to have the car to be in the club you just have to no its for you and that this is what you desire most of all anyways as you can tell my dads no chevy man and i thank him every day for pushing my chair down to the ford dealership and now im smokin' 69'camaros and firebirds off the red lights you no what i love smokin this one guys 69' camaro you no the blue one with that P.O.S 307 ci. ya i think he must have ate a load of shit bricks because he was awful slow off those lights and the poor kid doesn't even have a license (or a pair of balls for that matter) but anyways i was pimpin the "Full Sizer" the other day and as i passed the the only gay bar in town the upscale what do i see out of the corner of my eye a it had was a big nasty red YENKO Camaro and what was right behind it getting it in the ass like two tickle ducks a COPO Camaro so i waited for them in the condom polutied parking lot because God knows i wouldn't go in there so when there came out i challaged them to a drag with "el vano" after they got up off the ground laffing they agreed so to the old airport we went and when gay bartender droped his pants and off we were i straight up smoked those #%$s i seriously had enough time to stop be for the finish line roll them up and them smoke them and still have enough time to suck the bartenders penis but back to the subject the bottom line is YENKO AND COPO camaros suck the bartenders penis a lot harder than i

but hey if you wanna take your ragged out 1983 Full Size Van somewhere where namecalling doesn't exist just stop by the upscale parking lot and ask for a regestration form and a leagle waver (for saftey sake) because you and i no a full sive van gets a little swirly a 230+ mph so what are you waiting for get in your ford and come on down YA HOW ABOUT THAT GAY PORN YA I KNOW YOU BEEN PEEKIN DON'T LIE I DO IT TO YOU NO YOU SIT IN THAT CHAIR IN FRONT OF YOUR COMPUTER AND EVERY ONE GETS A LITTLE CURIOUS AND WITH ALL THOSE DEER HEADS AND THAT BIG ASS BEAR THAT WOULD TURN ME ON TO ESPECILLY TO THAT UMM ANIMAL PORN HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO THAT ONE SITE WHERE THAT GIRLS IS KINDA BENT OVER AND THE DONKEY IS GETTIN HER IN THE ASS OH YA YOU NO THE ONE LOOK ITS IN YOUR HISTORY JUST UNDER THE CHEVROLET AND ABOVE FOUNTIAN BOATS.COM AND DIDN'T YOU BOOKMARK IT JUST LOOK WELL ANY WAYS

what about a brand new Camaro coupe for 2004???
any1 remembers the old T-bird, it was put to rest a few years while the new version was planned.

I guess they are going to do the same thing here.<!-- Signature -->
