206 WRC > Impreza WRX , that's very simple.
oh well done smartarse u are comparing a £300,000 race car to a £25,000 road car of course its better! duh! is the 206 road car a supercar, no so if it wasnt for the wrc they wouldnt even b on this site with the 206 anyway, if u gonna call a ar a supercar because it has a good race version then we mayaswel call vauxhall astras supercars and ford mondeos, u get my point?

the rally version of the WRX has few common points with the road version (even the WRX STI Prodrive).
I don't care about road versions , the RACE 206 WRC kills the RACE Impreza WRX.
all depends whoose drivin my friend. and i cant remember saying that it didnt, ive always said the road car was crap.<!-- Signature -->
most of you guys on this post are full of crap, the peugeot is not better then the Impreza nor is the Impreza better then the Peugeot, the FIA world rally championship is one of the most closely contested championships in auto racing, last year four drivers where still in the running to win the drivers championship in the last race and Richard Burns won it. It is easy to see that the 206, Impreza, and Focus are the best cars(lets hope mitsubishi can get it back together) and it all depends who the driver is, last year Subaru had the best driver and Peugeot had the best group of drivers which allowed them to win the constructors championship.

The Accent<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
Well, not really, the 206 has more torque, but I think the WRX has more potential what with handling and acceleration and all, I guess the best way to tell will be next season, in which the revised version of the current WRC spec Impreza will be introduced. Then both Peugeot and Subaru will be on equal footing with which version they have, the only non vehicle performance related advantage Peugeot will have is more entered cars.
And yes, having 3 cars is advantageous if the two quickest of each manufacturer are the ones that are eligible for the points (rather than nominating beforehand), it's pretty much the same as the lottery: if you have 3 tickets and any two random ones are eligible to win then you have a better chance of getting a piece of the proverbial pie, than you would if you just had two tickets (which is the same as choosing one of three that is not eligible). In other words they have 3 chances at 2 positions their drivers are eligible for, instead of 2 chances at 2 positions that their drivers are eligible for, do you get what I'm saying?
